Any word on them doing that for the Wii version? I was just about to pull the trigger on it at $140.

Well, there is that deal at wal-mart that nets you a 100$ gift card if you purchase a 360.

It's like free rock band.

Anyone know if the Rock Band 2 drum set is dropping in price (specifically for Xbox 360)? I've been wanting to upgrade, but refuse to pay $90 for em (especially after the full kit is $100 now).

Also, holy crap, I had no idea Lego Rock Band had the Ghost Busters theme, I now am obligated to get this game. (also, other good songs) Also, on that note, does anyone know when you'll be able to export the Lego Rock Band songs onto your Hard Drive?

On the 360? Right away. Although I think Primus is still having issues with his code not working.

Look what all you people bitching about Foo Fighters pack 03 did!!!

World needs a break from Foo Fighters, says Dave Ghrol.

I will be slightly somber as I (hopefully) unlock "Breakout" in Lego RB today. I still haven't seen them live...
Well, that kinda sucks, but that article pointed out that Grohl's studio is like a 20 minute drive from my house. I think I'm gonna go play some Grohl Band with him this weekend.

This game is way more fun that I ever expected, for what its worth. There have only been a handful of songs I never want to play again on guitar:

Good Charlotte
that one called Make Me Smile or whatever.
?

You mean "Boys and Girls", right?

I actually really can't wait to play that song. Is it not fun on guitar or you just hate the song?
Sorry, I wasn't being clear. I meant two separate songs.

The Good Charlotte one I just plain don't like. I never really liked anything other than the very first single I heard of theirs, but some of it has been catchy (the Elite Beat Agents tune), so I was hoping this one was too, and I just didn't like it. Combine it with the fact there's a really odd tricky guitar riff, and I just don't enjoy it.

The second song, I had never heard of the guy before, has a title called something like Come Over (Make Me Smile) or something similar. I was pretty drunk by the point we got to it, but it was just kinda slow and NEVER SEEMED TO END. This may be the first song I try that "Radio Edit" setting on, to make it shorter. A sober go at the song is needed to really decide if I hate it.

I also can not figure out the drums to "Two Princes" for the life of me, but I only tried it once. I'm trying my hardest to just play stuff I already have played when I'm by myself, and wait until my friend can come back over to finish the game and see the new songs for the first time, but I exported it and have been peeking at tracks through RB2.

We did it with three different codes and three different 360s yesterday. I did mine today. One copy of Lego Rock Band actually purchased. Codes are working, just hopefully youre not one of the few who has a botched code

Hmm, my Rock Band drums are now totally dead, at least for the purposes of actually using them. One of my four pads is dead, and during my troubleshooting/repair efforts one of the base-> drum head connectors got ruined. I don't really have the materials or know-how to fix it, so I guess I'm out around $80 or so to get back to where I was drumwise, and that'd mean trading down to a RB1 kit. Maybe it's time to figure out a way to get to a set of Ions.

My OG Rock Band 1 drums finally died this week after ~2 years of solid use. I think it was mostly because I changed to different type of 7A with a hammer tip instead of the usual bullet tip, as my yellow pad suddenly had developed a number of deep indentations.

I think I saw the RB2 drums were 59.99 somewhere, but I can't remember where...

$41 + about $11 shipping for me from www.allpluggedin.com

Never heard of that site before, though, so who knows.

Anyone else find the HOPOs in Lego Rock Band really hard to see?

I also find the backgrounds to be more visually distracting - seems like the chart is more see-through than in RB2?

Awesome set list though, I'm really enjoying it.

I'm hoping that sometime between now and Christmas I can find the RB2 bundle, hell even the first RB bundle for the Wii for under $100. I'm still itching to buy it for my brother, 'cause he's getting better at it with practice.

Also it looks like I'm not going to play Lego Rock band unless I get it for Christmas. I had just enough money in my bank account today to buy it, even stared down the game in Wal-Mart, and decided that the $50 would be better suited to being saved for Christmas money than getting myself another game. I already spoiled myself with Beatles earlier, I can pass on this. My fiancee does have a BB gift card, so maybe I'll rent it, just to tackle it in a couple days, but it's a no-buy until after Christmas, if not even after that (my birthday's Jan. 21st. It's happened before where I'll get gift cards and shit, but someone will drop me the line "Oh don't buy this yet).

But damn I'm really itching to play Ghostbusters on drums.

Oh, and they botched the star tracking again. Everything, from single players to full bands, have scores lumped together in free play.

Man, I just heard the Styx cover of Summer in the City.

Holy. Shit. That would be an amazing song for this game.

Unfortunately can't find it on YouTube.

Anyone know if Lego Rock Band does star tracking automatically, or is it only with the 360 update?

I'm really just curious to see if it does this on the Wii, that'll be a first.

Yeah it's still not working and I've got no fucking clue why. Gonna give it another day before I call Harmonix, because looking at the forums there a lot of people had trouble and then it worked later for some reason.

So what's the best, most money-efficient way to get another guitar for RB2? Some part of me wants to buy GH5/GH:WT since the axes are cross-compatible, and then I have another music game and a few tracks available.

Unless there's a good source of guitars for $40 or so, that seems like the most financial sense.

Also, fucking pager waking me up at goddamn 1am while I'm sick =

Well if there's any GH: Aerosmith w/ Guitar bundles floating around still, I've seen those for around $20 at clearance prices.

Cheap guitar, I'll only play on it if there's nothing else, but hey, $20 guitar. And a game you can re-sell!

Check local Targets, I got a wireless RB1 guitar on clearance for $15.

If you can hold off for a little bit, wait till Black Friday. Last year Toys R Us had Xplorers for 10 bucks. I am sure someone will have a truck load of guitars that they will want to liquidate this year.

So this is strange: Apparently, Old Navy will have Rock Band kiosks and software in stores for the holidays/Black Friday, and as part of its BF deals, there's apparently a deal where you get a free copy of Lego Rock Band with a $20 purchase. It doesn't really go into many details or what platforms/how many will be available, but I'll buy some undershirts and socks if I can get Lego RB free with it!

It also says free Rock Band guitar with purchase of Rock Band 2.

So you buy Rock Band 2, get a free guitar and a copy of Lego Rock Band. Sounds good to me!
