I've gotten distracted from my NaNo story because I've wanted to write with a more modern word selection, so I'm going to try and bang out some stuff set in modern times so I can talk like a normal person and see if that helps me get back into the fantasy world of my NaNo story.

I got royally writer's blocked today, but I finally managed to brute force my way through a slow scene. Things are picking up now, and after a short break I'm about to sprint like a Kenyan. Just a thought for next year, it would be cool if there was a ranking indicator. Definitely on the site, because I'm way too lazy (I mean... busy writing) to count out what place I am in. Possibly on the signatures as well, if increased competition helps motivate people to write. Edit: I just realized I unintentionally (though perhaps subconsciously) have uh... borrowed some ideas from other stories. One more thing to fix in editing.

so far, my breakthrough has not failed me yet. I'm still moving ahead with speed--and no 300 word days of doom. almost even hit 3000 today before midnight.

Welp, I ended today with the bad guys liquefying a young girl. Take that, midgrade fiction!
