The torturer heaves, barely able to remain standing. Blood flows from multiple wounds all over his body, and he holds the nearby table for support.
Off in the corner, the goblin lets out a sound that can only be described as a glorified curse before dashing through the bars of the cage and hiding behind the rack in the opposite corner. He fires a bolt at Gavin, but it sails wide and clanks against stone.

From now on, to save a little bit of time, I'm going to stop linking my rolls in my posts. They are still available on IC if you search using the character name 'Figgy-DM,' so you can check em if you like, but this will shave a few minutes off of my updates.
For some encounters, I might want a little bit of "DM Advantage" to make major battles more interesting. In those cases, I'm not going to use the standard character name in IC, so you won't know which odd roll here and there is fudged for greater effect. We'll call that the "Do not look at the man behind the green DM screen" clause.
You guys, on the other hand, must still link all of your rolls... because I'm a dick like that.
Spoiler:
And it's much harder for me to check in on the rolls of 5 people.

Notes:
The yellow arrow denotes an object that is flipped over. The table now provides superior cover to those beside it against targets on the opposite side.
Sensing her prey's strength faltering, Sheen maneuvers around to get a clean shot. "Hey, ugly!" she shouts in Goblin at the torturer. As he turns to face her and bares his teeth, Sheen lets two quick shots go. Each arrow buries its shaft in the very eyes of the Hobgoblin, who drops to the floor stone dead.
Ok so... its been 4 days and Roo has posted elsewhere on the forums. Are we going on without him? One of us Take over? Figgy?
Also on subject of intimate vs. murderate Aylden would like to take the goblin alive, cause knowing what you're walking into is always nice. Someone else should do the intimidate check though, cause Aylden is terribad at it.

Gavin grins at the Goblin's demise, and turns to his next opponent. Bounding around the recent corpse, he strolls on up to his foe and rakes it hard with his dagger. Unfortunately, he trips at the last moment and buries his blade in the ground.
Spoiler:
Oops, sorry about that. Been studying for midterms and haven't been checking up as much.
Move to D18
Riposte Strike- 1d20+11=13, and a miss.
With the last foe taking refuge behind a coffin Aylden moves in behind Gavin and attempts to hit the goblin with a beam of holy light. As it lances out it manages only to strike the nearby wall behind the goblin's head but though force of will Aylden manages to sustain the beam and drag it across his target's chest, leaving a smoking scar.
"You got it!" Jannys says to Azulan with a quick nod. Leaping over the body of the Torturer lying on the floor, she lands as her fully transformed boar form. She charges towards the last goblin, throwing her tusks back and forth with rage. Catching the goblin off-guard with how swiftly she covered the ground between them, she tears into his flesh and tears off bits of his armor with it.
Nice! That is certainly good and bloodied. Now as long as he doesn't do anything to get himself killed on his turn, we'll see if I can manage to not have yet another pathetic roll....
If it's OK that I go out of order here ... are we technically out of combat?
Her ears pricking up at the sound of the whimper, Sheen strides over to the cells she noticed earlier, confident that her companions can handle the lone goblin. Her bow is lowered but ready to be brought up in an instant if a threat should present itself.
Azulan raises an eyebrow at the noise from the west, but focuses his attention on the Goblin. He lowers his sword but keeps it unsheathed.
"We may spare you, but only if you help us. If we think you are not being helpful or telling us everything, we will have no choice but to kill you."
Azulan turns to Aylden and says in Elven, "Could you check the cell and see if the stories match?"
Turning back and switching back to Common, Azulan begins to casually inspect the edge of his sword in a way that keeps it quite visible to the goblin. "Now, who made you fight and who did we hear being tortured in this room? Also, who is in that cell and why are they there?"
Spoiler:
I know Aylden would speak Elven, not sure if any others do, and am assuming the goblin doesn't.
Sorry Tzeen - didn't mean to pre-empt you checking out the cell. Didn't see your post before putting mine up. I'm also assuming we're out of initiative?
Of course, for all I know we hit the one goblin who took Elven in high school...
Aylden quickly glances between the Goblin and Azulan before nodding and following Sheen toward the cells, confident that Azulan can handle the wounded goblin.
Sorry guys. Bit of a personal crisis over here last night, so I'll be out of commission for the next couple of days. More property related than health/well being, for peace of mind.
