While you may not want to know the explanation, it's why they can't fix it easily, it has to do with net prediction. If they "fixed it" backstabs in general would start working even less than normal.
And it tells you how to help avoid it.

They should just get rif of the spy altogether. Never does anything useful and I hate their sappers because its all oh no you slightly annoyed me but im too good an engineer for it to even work but then other times I have to run back to the spawn to replace a downed tele entrance which is even more annoying because either the other engineer is such a dumb motherfuckre and ignored the sapper on mine but made sure to get his or because it wasted 600 metal or something because it resets back to level 1.
spies are in general just anoying but i dont think deadly enough. maybe thats why they have the facestab because theyre so shit everywhere else. oh look, an engineer running back towards the base with his shotgun out. WHO COULD THAT BE?!?!

when a spy saps the entrances it's just more annoying, i am definitely not leaving my sentry now i know a spy wants me off it, but i want to re-build my excellently placed level 3 teleporter that took a spy 2 seconds to just wait until nobody's using the spawn and then lay down a sapper, grinning to themselves about how clever and skillful they are sapping my unguarded shit time and again

But yeah, I think it would be fair to have Level 3 Teleporters take longer to die from a Sap. Granted that might not help much.
Spies are actually useful. Backstabbing Uber Ready Medics, sapping teleporters. Spies basically grief the other team. It's annoying as fuck, but its incredibly useful. |
