Just booked my flight... Next is the Hotel... Half way to the "no turning back" point!

There will be Canadians from Vancouver at PAX East... be afraid.... very afraid.

I'm coming from Delawhere. I've wanted to go to PAX ever since it began, but never could spend the money to fly out. I've already reserved a room at the Hilton, and gathered 3 other friends to split the cost.

A few weeks ago I got word that I was one of the winners of the ESRB's ratings summary micro-essay contest. http://www.facebook.com/oktoplay Looks like I'm going to East with airfare and hotel covered by the ESRB, along with a new console + 3 games. And it looks like I get to be drawn up all PA stylez. There's talk of an 'all access' pass as well, which makes me tingly if it is what I think it is. I was pretty strongly considering going before I found out about this but now I'm so super-pumped up to go that I wish it was March already. See you there! *SQUEE*

Any east coast Canadians who can recommend an airline to Boston (probably out of Halifax)? Haven't looked too indepth yet but feeling like I should get this and the hotel nailed down soon.

Glad to see this thread continue to expand every day. I hope this convention is as huge as it has the potential to be. MrT137, I can relate completely. For some of us east-coasters, getting out to Seattle is just not as easy as it sounds. I've wanted to go since the first one, and even had my bachelor party planned around PAX 2007 but unfortunately those plans got canned as well. Loserish, I know this goes without saying for most but I have to say I am extremely jealous. Congrats on the win.

I have been dying to go to a videogame conference/expo/what have you since growing up in SoCal, but never got a chance to go. I live in Boston now, and cannot wait for this. I bought my 3-day pass, but don't have anyone local to go with yet. Hopefully I meet some cool people there or I can persuade 3 of my less gaming intense friends to join me for a day! They've been at PAX for the last couple years. They even did the lanyards at Prime back in September!

I tried to get a 3 day pass but my card wasn't accepted. I'll get that straightened out soon enough but if anyone knows of an alternative way to buy the tickets, let me know. Never been to a PAX before but since it isn't on the other side of the country, I'm going to attend this one.

So, LewieP now knows he's coming to PAX East with me! I just have to book the flight/hotel package - don't know if I'm going to do them separately, or book a package deal with Thomas Cook or someone, then get the PAX tickets themselves. I'm already saving up the $$$s for everything else.
