Actually, earlier he specified that I needed to write a song before the end of the next turn, and we are still in turn 4. He didn't specify exactly when during that turn that needed to be. As a final point, I do believe we have precedence for ignoring card effects due to a card played on your turn, due to the British Millionaire ignoring Youtubery.
