Hell yes.
I'm jumping on the Locke train here. Jesus Christ. Why aren't there more protagonists like him?
Apparently writing a character that has a reaction to a tragic past that has a reaction more subtle than a)Compelete meltdown/withdrawl or b)Over it in 5 minutes is too damn hard

Not much personality in them, but I love the idea. The next time I reach the point of ultimate suffering, I'll just yell "Ouendan!" You can't prove it won't work!

I'm concentrated man, so I can admit that I cry during "Over the Distance".

Guess it's easier to write an emo fag that has such great sentences as "......." instead of someone like Locke. The fact that you sometimes can't even tell their gender doesn't really help their case either.

EDIT: Another hi5 for Hunk here. He turns snapping necks into a beautiful dance.

Oh hell yes!

I think that was the first game that ever moved me to tears. I wish they'd make a direct port of the Sega CD version. I'd buy that in a heartbeat.

Man, I fucking want to play Shadow Hearts so hard.

And MegaTen, damnit.
I'd send you the best of them all, Shadow Hearts 1, but I have lost both the original copy I had and the promo copy I got via preordering Covenant. God hates my playing such a badass game.

Well I bet you would be emo too if you got pushed out of a window eight stories high by your own dad and ended up paralyzed from the waist down.

Although blowing up the submarine was pretty selfish.

Call me strange but I can't recall Locke from FF VI getting disabled or blowing up a submarine so I can only guess that you are thinking about someone else..

All of the JRPG/SRPG/Harvest Moon & Derivatives characters you can control. Most I feel, are well written and have a cool aspect when you get deeper in the story. Most of them have a cool backstory and as you go through the game you can't help but love them.
If you're not going to venture an opinion that doesn't just confirm our impression of you as an utterly souless bot, then please stop posting.
That is my opinion. They are all good in my book, therefore I prefer all of them. Also considering, 98% of the Games I own are JRPG/SRPG/Harvest moon & derivatives it should be obvious. I can't name any single one because they all are good.
The idea is that you name characters that you love and why. Such as a specific RPG character that you like and why he's better than the others. If you're just attention seeking with your posts because you know you'll get a reaction by not posting any real opinion, just bugger off.
You and Sunday are being very unfair here. It is completely possible to enjoy several characters, and there are many plausible reasons for why katchem gave less detail that don't require such a vicious response. If you want elaboration, try asking. Christ.

That said, I always really liked the story and dynamic between Edgar and Sabin. They don't spend a ton of time fleshing it out in-game, but just knowing the sacrifices Edgar made affected how I interpreted the brothers' actions for the rest of the game. The semi-hidden plot point where..

Spoiler:
really demands questions about how each of the brothers sees the role of family.

Maybe it's because Katchem always posts like this and doesn't ever give just what is asked of him. He didn't just say he liked a range of characters, he said he liked all JRPG/SRPG/Harvest moon and derivitive characters.

Don't act like mr high and mighty, he could've said any bunch of characters from within that group but he knows that by being as horrendously vague in such an obvious way will make people react.
Edit: Christ

Oh and I stick by Dante, if I had to choose anyone to get close to him i'd take a shot t saying Auron as being incredibly cool.

Yeah, call me jaded, but the 'quirky, mal-adjusted youth who at first hates his father but then comes to understand, nay, even love, his father by the end' is just excruciating.
