New Toys
Spoiler:
Crates and Barrels: What better to start with than basics. These item containers have been revamped to support the themes of certain levels.
Assist Trophy: This is the Pokeball of the Nintendo Universe. Any kind of cameo you could think of comes from within... Spoiler:
Known Assist trophies:
Hammer Bros.
Nintendog
Samurai Goroh
Dr. Wright
Knuckle Joe
Devil
Andross-retro
Lyn
Pokeball: An alltime favorite. Which still randomly gives you a poke to cause massive destruction with. Spoiler:
Chikorita
Goldeen
Groudon
Deoxys
Munchlax
Gooey Bomb: The Gooey Bomb acts as a sticky Remote Mine. While stuck to a character, it can be passed back after making contact with another player.
Cracker Launcher: This projectile launcher isn't as racist as it sounds. It might be more recognizable as a 'Roman Candle'. We saw it briefly in the short clip from Min-E3.
Banana Peel: Because Cliche's work.
Bumper: A return from the 64, relatable to Melee's Flipper item. A new twist leaves this possible to plant mid-air.
Pitfall: The item from Animal Crossing. Surprisingly, it caries its ability from Animal Crossing over very well. Simply making characters fall thru holes or thru platforms.
Smoke Ball: An original item, soley based on obscurity. This item deals no damage, but rather actually just blinds the player from the screen.
Franklin Badge: Debuting from the Mother Series (Earthbound), this relates to Fox's Reflector, like the Screw Attack Ball relates to Samus' Screw Attack. Basically, it reflects projectiles.
Spicy Curry: When a Fire Flower just can't suit your flaming needs.
Announced Stages
Spoiler:
Battlefield (Smash Bros.):
Delfino Plaza (Mario Sunshine):
Yoshi's Island (Yoshi's Island):
Lylat Cruise (Starfox):
Bridge to Eldin (Legend of Zelda):
Smashville (Animal Crossing):
Rumble Falls (Donkey Kong):
Skyworld (Kid Icarus):
Castle Seige (Fire Emblem):
WarioWare Ince. (WarioWare)
Pokemon Stadium 2 (Pokemon)
Such Pretty Music:
Spoiler:
First, a giant list of composers, accompanied by the new Menu Music:
So far, we've been given a list of series that have been represented, but as we get this list, its come to us out of order. We currently have gaps as shown:
Frothing demand, etc. I honestly can't think of another game that has gotten this much renewed attention every single damn day for half a year out from release.

Also, I still doubt that Sakurai is posting the biggest things SSBB has to offer yet. I'm sure he's planned out what he's going to announce when, and it'll probably be more and more exciting as time goes on, which will cause the huge attention that's already focused on its updates to grow and by the time it'll hit shelves....
Location: Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but it dies in the process.

The reason why i would turn off smash balls is simple. Even if they do spawn in a fixed location, you're basically placing an 'I-Win' button on the stage that appears at different intervals. If you happen to be closer when it randomly appears, then I die, or vice versa.
Again, it just comes down to the fact that I would rather play my opponent than play the items/stage/pissant luck.

I doubt Smash Balls will be possible to turn off.
I suspect that actions in the fight will be what triggers them, perhaps a different action for each character.
10:38 AM: Conference has officially started! Iwata is here along with several other Nintendo big wigs from Japan. The speaker is introducing everyone. Iwata got up and took a bow.
Dear lord, let this happen again. Best 2 hours on this forum ever. I think that thread hit a page every 10-20 seconds.

If I wanted a serious match, I'd probably follow suite.
But if I'm just dicking around with friends (since, as my friends generally leech off my console so I'm better than them anyway), I usually leave the items on. Though, a lot of them have Wii's this time around, so this may change.
Sweet! They changed up my main character. I hoping this FLUDD move is more useful than the tornado. I never used that move other than a small bit of recovery it offered.
So we can expect 6 more threads? (@ 100 per) Damn Son.
Only if the rate of poast remains constant.
Which it almost definitely will not.
Yeah I imagine some peaks when major announcements are made.
Also, man, just over 12 weeks till release!!!
And when we get closer the posting will be more frequent. I mean, the week before? Two weeks? Plus, I'm assuming that that's when they're going to start reeling out the huge super-awesome announcements, so that they can control the hypemobile up to release, to ensure maximum explosions of dicks. We'll be going through a thread a fucking day.
It'll be like they just released the Wii. Again.
And just imagine what it'll be like when it's actually released. The internet will explode and stay exploded for like, a month at least.
Is that because of all the continuous poasting or because everyone normally employed to fix exploded intertubes will be far too busy playing SSB:B?

It was like a million intertubes crying out in unison, then suddenly silenced.

The internet? I'm more worried about the entire world falling apart. No one to take the trash away, or police the streets, or clean our water. All too busy playing Smash.
