Only to be met by "JP Only" "Sorry". That shit enraged me. Having completed S-rank 5 times and having all of the short cuts and puzzles memorized I knew that I was better then most Japaneese players. They were sterotyping me because I was an english player that I automatically sucked. It got to the point where I would not quit their games and just sit there. When they left and made a new one I would joint that one too. I knew then and now that my actions were immature at best. I just got so sick of people being dicks with no way to retaliate. Sadly the attitude of a few left such a sour taste in my mouth that I would avoid helping/playing with japanese gamers whenever possible in every game I played after that. Jesus christ, you're a twat. Maybe if you spared a second or two to think, instead of being so ridiculously thin-skinned and bawling, 'waaaaaaugh! Why are they so racist?!' you might've realized that the most likely explanation was instead, 'We prefer that people who join this game speak the same language as us, so that all participants can actually communicate with each other.' It can be pretty irritating in any game that requires communicating with other players to have anything you say greeted with '????' emoticons, or another language you don't understand. And in a game with a staggered release, where when the foreign edition comes out and established servers are flooded with nonspeakers... You sir, are full of... win? It has nothing to do with being "thin-skinned" and more to do with being asked to leave 4 out of 5 times because I wasn't Japanese. I can only tolerate xenophobic douche-baggery for so long. After my experiences with PSO and later (to a lesser extent) FFXI, I prefer my servers US\EU only. The funny part is I have only experienced this attitude with the Japanese players. I have played many times with non english speakers from Europe, HK, and Taiwan and there has never been a problem. ever.

those stormwind ones just reminded me of when people used to lure those monsters from blasted lands i think that you cant kill unless they are near some stone or something. at first people lured them in to kill newbies or whatever, but eventually people figured out they could just sit there afk and train whatever weapon skills they wanted on the things. the favourite spot to put them was in the middle of all the battlemasters and tons of newbs would flock around to train on them. as much as i like griefing guys i've never been fond of out right exploiting or cheating, i dont even like to use mods on wow even though i know they're legal etc. so in this case i wasn't too fond of dudes just sitting around afk macroing on these invulnerable monsters so on my warrior and with the help of a friend we kited the thing out of stormwind. people got crazy pissed off about it and i just acted the fool telling them "it's cool guys, i'll tank it!" and acted like i was on a raid or something. it was really slow going because i'd have to taunt it and in the few seconds before someone else stole aggro back kite it a bit more, although eventually i got enough aggro to hold it pretty well. still it took probably 30 minutes or more to lead it out of stormwind and on the road down to redridge where people finally stopped following and we eventually got bored ourselves. i dunno if photobuckets the best way to do this but heres a screenshot Spoiler: show spoiler hide spoiler heres the wall on UO (Angel Island) i mentioned, a good amount of people ended up getting stuck on it while trying to pvp/running from ganks Spoiler: show spoiler hide spoiler

I've never gone out griefed people on purpose. Some people just deserve it. In WoW, my mage gets frequent random whispers about getting ports to places. Somerandomguy: hey can i get a port to shat plx? Me: 5g. Somerandomguy: im only level 16 i dont have 5g can u just do it plx? Me: 5g. Somerandomguy: cmon ill give you 5g when i get it i promise just port me plx!!111!! Me: Well when you put it that way, okay. And I port him to Exodar.
