It's not impossible; Best Buy did carry Odin Sphere, and EOII is getting surprisingly marketed at EBStop.

Just a heads up for any Brits interested, this game gets released tommorow. So, what are the useable class set ups for a beginner? I heard good things about PSALM parties to start off with. I'm gonna try and pick this up after I get in from work, provided I'm home early enough. I think all the gamestores near me close at 5:30pm, though. :|

Party needs more T. Bravery, a versatile attacker from front line (swords, early) or back line (bows, as soon as you can), and boost the entire party's exp. Plus, can put elemental effects on the heavy hitters' weapons. My standard party was usually PL TAM I often swapped out the A for a second T, an S, or whoever else I wanted to level up for a while. I found I didn't use magic all that often.

Troubadors suck ass early on. Survivalists don't.

So it's settled. Survivalist early on until I can PL a Troubador up, then mess with my own party makeups. I really want to play a Hexer and a Dark Hunter in my party. :|

Add them in and rotate frequently. Early on there isn't a huge damage difference between L/D/S so go crazy. Of course you don't get the Hexer right away, but there are plenty of times where one could take the place of a T,S, or A. Also very early on putting the S in the front row to absorb hits is a good idea as their armor is comparable for the first few floors or so.

If you can keep them alive, a Hexer/Troubadour combo can turn some bosses into kittens.
