Man, am I the only one around here who hates LOST spoilers and avoids them like the plague? So...avoid them? We're pretty good around here about tagging them.

I dont know if this has been mentioned on here before, but i just caught a promo on ABC about the new set of episodes coming out. It showed clips of all the favorites, and LOST's included Spoiler: show spoiler hide spoiler the crazy boat swat killer team guy talking into a walkie talkie to who i can only guess is Ben saying "we have your daughter and we are going to kill her so i guess that answers the question definetly of who did the shooting at the end of the last episode

I've always gone spoiler-hunting for pretty much everything, but I don't see why more Lost fans don't do it now. Spoilers tell us something; the show itself tells us how it gets to that point. But now they're doing the same thing with flash-forwards; the show is basically giving us "spoilers" and then laying out how characters got to that point. Spoilers were actually the reason I started reading the Harry Potter books, for example. I had heard that Snape kills Dumbledore, and after seeing the third movie I was just really curious how it got to that point. So I picked up the books and started reading, and with later knowledge the books suddenly became more compelling than they should have been.

I am thinking about this season's Sayid episode and how virtually every scene would have been utterly robbed of its impact had I already known what I was about to see. There's a reason the word is "spoiled".

Reading fake spoilers is totally fucked up. Because you're all "oh I know what's going on" and then BAM something completely different happens. You're even more "WTF." Trouble is, you should never know that fake spoilers are fake.

see now I want to wait until I can watch this season in order but on the other hand I'm prone to opening spoilers with reckless abandon and I know I'll spoil how Ben is actually alvar hanso or the number of times michael yells "WAAAALLLT" is the seventh number needed in the valenzetti equation

Honestly I wouldn't be suprised if Spoiler: show spoiler hide spoiler the super death squad already has a way of fending OFF the smoke monster. I always felt that the smoke monster had three parts to it, and if my theory on what it is is correct then an electromagnetic device could completely fuck with it.

So, like, Lost started a little bit after I moved to Japan and I've basically never seen an episode of it and I was flippin' channels at 1 am, and I just caught an episode where Spoiler: show spoiler hide spoiler the guy who used to be in the wheelchair meets up with his dad all tied up at the ass end of the episode Jesus Christ, this show might be basically the best thing ever on Television.
