Guys, ignore Hillary, she's irrelevant now. We won.
But she's not, because she hasn't conceded and has a base that Obama is going to need to court in order to win the Presidency. Her base's arguments concerning the reasons she lost this nomination are very relevant to Obama's campaign in the general election.
I mean this type of shit is in the comment chain of that blog post:

quote:
Let's just wait until the racism starts flying from the media, and then we'll see if Obama decides to make nice with the women voters he pissed off.
What the fuck does even mean?

She has no leverage a week from now. Don't overemphasize comments on a fucking blog.

It's done, she's gone. It's over.

Obama only won the nom because people were too busy being misogynists to realize that he's black. When that pale veil drops from his face, America will reject him, and it'll only be through the support of women (who are naturally color blind) that he can possibly regain the lost ground.

They believe that the media had an inexhaustible supply of service entrances, which they used to replace innocent doors Hillary happened to be walking through in order to put women in their place.

Now that Obama is the nominee, they believe he will be forced to pick cotton until he can take no more, falls to his knees, admits to stealing Clinton's lime-light, and begs their forgiveness and tells them they're all special little snowflakes.

I wonder why.

Clearly it's because every man (and woman) who doesn't vote for a candidate that routinely demonstrates they are incompetent, got caught in several bald-faced lies that dug their own hole further, lost a whopping 11 primaries consecutively firmly ruling them out of the race for anyone who can do even basic maths and did not gather the same overall support/campaign funds of their opponent is clearly just being sexist.
Told you man -- feminists.
Feminism is the radical notion that women are people too. Radical feminism is the notion that men, however, are not.

To be fair Jiggly can float off the side and just let the dudes kill themselves fairly easily

Which, upon further reflection, is rather reminiscent of his style

I haven't noticed anything particularly anti-male in the feminist hype around Hillary's martyrdom.

I don't know if you heard the Hillary supporters fanatically chanting "DENVER!" at her speech or not, but the thing is, Hillary has leverage as long as she wants it, and even after she concedes, courting and motivating her supporters is something the Obama campaign needs to be concerned with.

I know quoting incredibly stupid shit from blog comments is just scratching an itch I can't let go, but I think rhetorically engaging Hillary's base is absolutely a relevant pursuit.

Repairing the Damage, Before Roe

quote:
The familiar symbol of illegal abortion is the infamous “coat hanger” — which may be the symbol, but is in no way a myth. In my years in New York, several women arrived with a hanger still in place. Whoever put it in — perhaps the patient herself — found it trapped in the cervix and could not remove it.

...

The worst case I saw, and one I hope no one else will ever have to face, was that of a nurse who was admitted with what looked like a partly delivered umbilical cord. Yet as soon as we examined her, we realized that what we thought was the cord was in fact part of her intestine, which had been hooked and torn by whatever implement had been used in the abortion. It took six hours of surgery to remove the infected uterus and ovaries and repair the part of the bowel that was still functional.

Yeah, go vote for McCain, "feminists".

This is what the next Political Machine game needs to be. A fighting game with presidential candidates and presidents. You could have Bush in his flight suit costume, Bill Clinton in a Hawaiian shirt, Kerry in a sailor moon outfit, etc. It would be glorious.

Bush's fatality could be Dick Cheney coming out, biting the opponent's head off, and sucking out their insides.

Where does the leverage come from? You think the Democratic Party (and more importantly, the media) is going to let her sit there and blackmail him? She's done.

I'm not afraid of a small group of crazed supporters.

Someone can be shrill regardless of gender. I tend to think about the word shrill in relation to breezes though. It's just a descriptive adjective to me, someone can have a shrill singing voice, for example.
