Combine that with your inability to read Achewood, it makes SO much sense.

Gross. Wait, which one? Because I was a big Tom Goes To The Mayor Fan, but Awesome Show is fucking horrendous.

I wwas just watching me some Flapjack OnDemand.

I'd say it's pretty funny, but the humor definitely has a disturbing tinge to it. The art is rather ... it's not necessarily pretty and takes getting used to. Some of the facial expressions are outright gruesome and morbid - it's peculiar that they can incite laughs (as nervous and horrified as they may be) at all.

Oh, the ep.s I saw were where Flapjack got a haircut and K'nuckles fell for his reflection.

Chowder is just openly adorable

but Flapjack is sinister because the tone of the show is sinister. Someone is always being swindled.

Flapjack's world is so dirty and vile he's so nice and naive; the colors they used for him are brighter than that of the backgrounds or other characters (who's pallets have been desaturated).

Oh, one of the creators of the show has a dA: http://thurop.deviantart.com/

pretty interesting stuff.

man, peewee fucking herman doing the voice would have made the show alot creepier
particularly when flapjack laughs

i dont think i would have like that at all

His voice is already kinda creepy. Like he's secretly laughing at you or knows some secret and just won't tell. The voice actor is brilliant.

Art style reminds me of the stuff I've seen for Coraline and Time Squad. This is a good sign, I think.

Glad they went with the current design.

Mock-up for an as-of-yet unaired pilot. you really have to read his comments.

I really enjoy the character design. The faces are simple and very expressive.

Of the few episodes of Flapjack I have watched, I noticed several where Pendleton Ward was a writer. (Pendleton Ward made Adventure Time) Also, speaking of Chowder, here is my favorite reference so far:

Ahaha, that has to be my favorites. Also Chowder's lady-like legs.
