It's okay, I have no art skills - digital or otherwise. =) I've learned to do some cut-and-paste tricks with Paint.NET, but it's nowhere near the level that a lot of people have with all their Photoshop crazyness. =)

i think i'll do the button thing next year...how come no one's ever organized some sort of post pax cool down event? like we still hang out an editional 3 days or so...the numbers would be smaller for sure so if you wanted to talk to "yuffie" or "pikachu" you could without the hussle of pax. and for those who want to site see and what not...more time...

i'm not too sure how the button thing works but i really want to try it out

also, we do need guys...your not just space heaters

Most people only take enough time off of work for pax itself.

I know that I am personaly planing a large-ish (at least 30 people) event for paxers but that wont be for a month or so. Plus I doubt many people will travel for it so it will mostly be locals.

I suspect this non pax season there will be more epic things popping up.

Some of us are also tall, so we're useful for those high shelves too.

well...i could take more time off work and i would if there was more to do in pax other than the space needle. With us outta-towners its more a matter of...pax is over now what...and we just go home...i'm sure there are many people like me who could get a few more days off. why wouldn't there be with people managing to get to the pre-pax stuffs

Stands to reason that people could get better deals beyond the 3 day weekend. With all the geek clubs and large internet cafés in Seattle, a smart person could figure out something to do.

This year, the harder time line for most was school, I think. A lot of schools went back on September 2nd, and a large percentage (if not majority) of PAXers attend classes at some level or another. A quick glance at the calendar says that PAX 09 will probably leave an extra day of breathing space before classes head back.

I need some help tracking this guy down!

I ran into him after getting eliminated in the Rock Band round. I was all bummed out and he told me that at least I got a cool Omeganaut shirt and got to participate in the Omegathon. He was from Australia and apparently can't enter the contest. I decided that I would give him my Omeganaut shirt since he would never get the chance at it. Dude was overjoyed with happiness, problem is I forgot to get his name and e-mail. Doh! Hopefully, someone will recognize him or maybe he reads the forums.
