Beast Machines was, I think, the first time I ever experienced the phenomenon known as Nerd Rage.

I was content with Beast Machines for two reasons: 1. I was six when I saw it. 2. I didn't see Beast Wars until last year. Man was there a gap in quality.

To be honest, I enjoyed RID much more than Beast Machines. It was much more happy.

I think Beast Machines gets too much flak I mean sure it's not very good but it's not absolutely terrible either I liked seeing the evolution of Cheetor's character and Silverbolt getting some development but yeah, they fucked up rhinox and primal and rattrap and megs something fierce it fell short of potential

One of the best things about Beast Wars was Blackarachnia, Tarantulas, and Megatron constantly doublecrossing each other.

Spoiler: show spoiler hide spoiler Rattrap basically had everything that made him likable neutered. He eventually fell in love with a new character whose alt mode was a plant. Rhinox turned evil for absolutely no reason at all. He tried to kill Optimus and the other Maximals and take over Cybertron.

Spoiler: show spoiler hide spoiler Rattrap's robot form had a pair of wheels instead of legs, and his "skill" was that he could plug his tail into computers and other robots and hack into their programming. When he tried this out on Tankorr, they learned he was originally Rhinox, rebuilt and programmed with a different personality. Rhinox became himself again thanks to Rat Trap, but he refused to join up with the maximals since he thought Megatron was on the right track. Also, I forgot about the thing he had with Botannica (Plant girl). She honestly wasn't that annoying since there was no Beast Wars version to compare her to, but didn't really bring anything interesting to the series at all. edit: Centipede beat me, because I went into a little more detail.

Cheetor in Beast Machines was the only good part, I enjoyed his humanoid design, everything else was shit ugly oh and also the plant transformer, that was kinda cool

Botannica was okay. I thought Nightscream was the weaker of the added characters. The guy was a fucking eyesore.

Beast Machines could have been saved if they worked Inferno into it I say this because I unconditionally love Inferno
