I haven't yet watched the video, but it is said that racism continues to be a major issue for blue-collar Democratic voters and that unions are aggressively confronting. There was an NYT story a while back that ended with a quote by a Union guy basically saying that he was wary about voting for a black candidate until he saw the union's mailing telling him it would be okay.

I think you underestimate how pissed off Texans are right now. And where else is he going to build them? Texas looks to be in single digits right now. No one (or at least very few) questioned whether she had the steely demeanor necessary to be in the White House. Palin hasn't built up that kind of aura of invulnerability. If she were to cry, millions of Americans will conclude that she can never be let near any sort of critical negotiation with foreign leaders. Or even with Congress. The point is moot, though, since I can't believe that Palin will break down tonight. She's not that fragile.

I had a dream that I was Biden during the debate and I out-debated Palin so badly that she broke down and cried so I went over to console her telling her it's not her fault and that she should sit down and then I finished the debate while standing at her podium.
