Wii Spoiler:
Wii Music
Spoiler:
* It's easy to play improv jams. Musicians in your band jam by simply playing their instruments to the beat of a song or by improvising to their heart's content. Play faster. Play slower. Skip a beat, or throw in 10 more. No matter what you do, Wii Music automatically transforms your improv stylings into great music. There are no mistakes-just playing for the pure joy of playing.
* Wii controls immerse you in the music. You can play most of the 60-plus instruments in Wii Music using simple motions with the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers. Strum to play guitar, banjo and sitar. Drum to play jazz drums, congas and marching drums. Hammer away to play piano, vibraphone and marimba. Unlike most music games, Wii Music doesn't make you use complex buttons. You only need to imitate playing the instrument.
* Wii Music offers virtually endless ways to make music. You choose the song and instruments and decide whether to blaze through a rock take on classical songs, put a jazzy spin on folk tunes or transform Nintendo classics like the Super Mario Bros.® theme into Latin-flavored numbers. The song list is only a takeoff point-it's how you improvise with the songs that matters.
* Send your band-jam recordings to Wii Friends who have Wii Music. They'll see your Mii band members, your players' improv styles and your instrument selections. They can watch your recordings, or play over parts of your song, then send their modified recording back to you. Improv jams can be sent back and forth over WiiConnect24 and changed again and again.
Beyond the Jam: Wii Music includes many other modes besides the main band jams, including several musical games and an enhanced video playback mode for recorded jams.
* Play it again: Use the playback mode to see your jam recordings brought to life with dramatic camera angles.
* Pick up the baton: Command an orchestra in the conducting game where you'll wave the Wii Remote controller like a conductor's baton to lead a Mii orchestra through orchestrated music. Make them play quickly, slowly, strongly or gently.
* Ring a bell: Play a handbells game where you'll swing your Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers to play your two handbells as part of a larger ensemble.
* Everyone on the team has a job to do: Play one of your notes only when the tune demands it.
* An ear for music: Take a tone quiz that tests your musical ear by giving you challenges, like putting note-playing Miis in order from lowest to highest pitch.
* Bang the drum: Play a virtual drum set in the drumming mode, the one mode in Wii Music that also uses the Wii Balance Board accessory (sold with Wii Fit?). You'll use the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers as drumsticks, and place both feet on the Wii Balance Board-which work as virtual pedals for the bass drum and hi-hat cymbal.

So what's everyone getting this week?
Far Cry 2 finally arrives on PC, PS3, and 360, woo!
the NDS gets Castlevania Order of Ecclesia, fuckyeah!
Fable 2 for the 360, will molyneaux's sequel live up to its potential?
Wii Music comes out - will it be a complete turd and fairly worthless? Yes.
Spiderman Web of Shadows comes out too -- I HIGHLY RECOMMEND checking out the NINTENDO DS version - it's like Spiderman meets Bionic Commando meets Super Metroid meets awesome combat! Plus a forumer around here worked on it. SUPPORT HIM AND HIS GOOD WORK.
The PSP gets another RPG from S-E --- a remake of Star Ocean. Should be decent.
also of note, the PC gets DEAD SPACE
and the PS3 gets Rock Band 2, Bioshock, and Eternal Sonata.
Also my sources tell me that Portal: Still Alive comes out for XBLA - Should be good.
also Tetris Party for Wiiware ought to be quite fun.
Location: The Northern Ontario equivalent of the biggest ball of twine

So let me guess this straight.
Fable 2.
Far Cry 2.
Spiderman: Web of Shadows (I have huge interest in both the DS and 360 versions, for reasons listed above)
The new Castlevania.
And yes, Wii Music.
And Fallout 3 out next week?
GRAHHHH MY WALLET GAAAAAHHHH THE RAAAAAAPE

I'm seeing a ton of games I'd buy any other time of the year, but with so much in so little time, I'm only able to get Dead Space, Fallout 3, and maybe one other game later on.
They really need to learn to space these things out throughout the year. Sorry, Fable 2 and Far Cry 2 and Castlevania DS 3. I would buy you...

C'mon.. you gotta show Castlevania some love.. It's going to be the best one ever! You can't pass it up! It'll only be $29.99! That's like half the price of a 360 game.
You know you want it.

Are there plans for a FC2 demo?
Good question. It'd be nice to see how well it runs on my PC before buying it.
nope. already announced a few weeks ago that there wont be.
That sucks. I guess I'll wait and see what people say about performance on the PC.
Goddamn Shows you the glut of awesome games coming out when I wasn't even aware that Castlevania and FarCry 2 were coming out this week. So let's see, that's
Fables 2
Spiderman(really interested in both the 360 and ds version)
FarCry 2 ( who knows, maybe the 360 version will suck, making my decisions eiser)
Castlevania
Midnight Club 3
Then next week we have FallOut 3 and Guitar Hero. And we're not even into December.
Man, you gotta have two jobs to get all these games. But then you don't have time to play them.

True. In addition, we don't need to fully read one another's posts.
I went to Nintendo's website to find out when we're getting Wii Music in Europe and apparently we're getting Disaster: Day of Crisis on 24/10/2008, which is this week. I had no idea that was so close to release.
I have to get Castlevania, as I'm a huge fan. I've also pre-ordered Fable 2. I really hope Web of Shadows is good, as I'm dying for a new Spider-Man game, so I might have to get that, reviews pending. Also, Dead Space is out in Europe. Additionally, I hope to GOD ABOVE that Secret of Mana and Mario Golf will arrive on EU VC, though we'll probably get some shitty Wiiware instead.
And Fallout 3 is next week. This is expensive
