If the pain gets intense get it checked out.
That's good advice pretty much always.
But there's no doctor who can heal a broken heart.
I think you need a specialist for that.

Spoiler:
He's the one they call Dr. Feelgood
He's the one that makes ya feel all right
He's the one they call Dr. Feelgood

the last ubuntu release was seriously flaky, I think I'm over their hype
I haven't had a problem with it, and I've been using it on every computer I own since 6.06. In fact, this laptop has had the same install of Ubuntu (upgrading through the auto-updater) since 6.10.
I've got 8.04 in three different VMs, running on an 8.04 host.

The host's video card has been flaky as shit when rebooting, and each of the VMs will occasionally hard lock. Every once in a while keyboard input of any kind will cause your terminal window to close, which only a reboot seems to fix. And one of the VMs will walk off the pier every few weeks and just sound the PC speaker constantly until you hard reboot the instance
Weird.

Now that I think about it, my fileserver/VM host is still running one of the 7 releases, but that's only because it won't dist-upgrade automatically and I haven't logged into the host in a while, only the VMware GUI, the VMs themselves, and the ssh sessions that Unison opens to run backups.

Hey Feral, you ever read up on Plum Island?
Not yet, still need to. Thanks for the reminder.
As the target of both conspiracy-theory nuttbags and clumsy gummint coverups, there's a lot of bullshit out there. But there's a lot of truth, too.

The fact that everything there is dead and the near 100% infection rate of nearby communities kinda speaks volumes about the CDC's stated position that "Uh, there was no malfunction, but uh... everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here now, thank you. How are you?"

What is up with people quoting posts and then going on about something completely unrelated. Like Bob says his grandma was hit by a bus, and someone carries over a page-long quote tree to say "Hey Bob, what's up with your avatar?"
Kind of like what you just did, except the quote tree isn't that big yet?

Everybody gets their basic healthcare needs paid for by the government, free at point of use. You can go and see a doctor without cost being an issue.

I'm just reminding him to look up something health-related.

Plum Island was what Hannibal Lector referred to as "anthrax island" in Silence of the Lambs, if you're curious. It is a scary place.

I spent 30 seconds trying to pronounce that like an element.

Was all like, where is that on the periodic table.
