Monster hunter: Still one of my most favourites to this date. Fallout 3: I still like the orginal Fallout's as well: And of course, Team fortress 2. Look at the Heavy for gods sake, what a face. One of my other favourites. There are a few other games I know of with awsome covers, ill go through the rest of the ones I own and post the good ones up.

While us PAL guys usually get screwed on release dates and price, at least they're doing something right. AND YET: The OP had a bunch of Metal Gear stuff while somehow failing to post this: Actually, Steelbook editions tend to be fuckawesome: (this only has the PoP logo on the Steelbook itself, no other logos. Very very cool light seed design on that.) Actually, it looks like PAL might have the edge on Steelbooks as well. that PoP one was PAL only and the Gears 2 silver one that doesn't have the logo also doesn't appear to be anywhere other than PAL regions.

I've always been a fan of the Chrono Trigger cover I'm glad they kept it for the American DS release. It gives me a nice, nostalgic feeling. edit: Also, I believe this pic is based on early concept art for CT, where Marle had fire magic instead of Lucca. So, that could explain the double tech discrepency here. Just sayin', is all.

I always see the white one I posted when looking for this game on ebay, so I assumed the other was the EU boxart. Then I found out it was a reversible cover. But still, I see why every one has the white cover on ebay.

I still prefer the bodies though because it's an awesome picture. Also that picture for DDS2 isn't what they used for the game in japan. The japanese version of DDS2 had Sera standing next to her demon form in a sort of height comparison pose. The box for DDS1 was the same except with Serph and Varna. That DDS2 cover is for a fan book, which I think is essentially a collection of official and fan-made artwork.

Well fan books are made for fans of the series so I guess they figured anyone who would be interested in the book would already know who Seraph was. I don't know how much company involvement there even is for fan products so most likely they didn't care who was on the cover. They probably just licensed some artwork and the name and said to have fun gathering stuff up.

For anyone who has a boxed collection they want to turn into a DVD cased collection. The Cover Project. While I won't pass judgment on it being good art or not, I do have to say its some terrible design. Also, that Echochrome box made me throw up in my mouth a little.

Psygnosis games, computer games from the early 90's had some of the best box art ever. Granted I think the box art rarely had anything to do with the game and were actually made by a real artist but yea.

Its pretty old, at least early 90's if I remember (could just look it up I guess). Didnt know this but I guess they got most of their box art from YES album cover artist Roger Dean (taken from a quick wikipedia search). The guys stuff is very 70/80's fantasy and pretty cool looking.

It's an abstract puzzle game, I can't see anything wrong with a person visualising it in their head, and I quite like it. For my contribution, I pick... I like the art style on this one. Also, this might one have a few detractors, but; It's just so unique, which is why I like it. Also, it stands out SO much on store shelves cause it's bright fucking orange. Awesome.
