the thing about studying theology is that it actually tells you a great deal about people and culture if you approach theology with the stance of trying to figure out how every religion is dumb and does dumb things it is just an exercise in frustration. but approached as an anthropological and sociological study it can be very interesting

the thing about studying theology is that it actually tells you a great deal about people and culture if you approach theology with the stance of trying to figure out how every religion is dumb and does dumb things it is just an exercise in frustration. but approached as an anthropological and sociological study it can be very interesting I've always been fascinated by the role of religious bodies in the development of society. It's like watching the evolution of symbiotes through the lens of history. And people arguing the validity of a faith's historical importance based on their own religion always made me wonder about their reasoning capacity.
