I dislike looted tanks. I'll build one if I won't have the req for nobs for awhile or I need something faster then it takes to build and upgrade nobs. But with the poor pathing in 3v3s and the fact thats its alot easier to kill then to eliminate a whole squad of nobs I perfer them in t3.
They should have used the Battlewagon IMO. Make the Ork unit more unique in comparison with the stupid predator. Possible Upgrades include wrecking ball, Zzapp cannon, claw to hold vechicles in place. And enough space to hold da boyz!
My rant earlier about tyranids warriors was just to highlight there ridiculous abilities. Its just so irratating trying anything against them as eldar.
I mean really anyone with a little micro can tap x at the right time, never lose a squad and eventually just overwhelm you with sheer numbers.
Anyways, I look forward to tau in the upcoming expansion.
You are right I meant a Tau strike force trying to annex a forge world protected by the imperial guard for the greater good. Unfortunately this world was a terraformed tomb world and the necrons have awoken when the inquisition discovers an thousand son chaos artifact buried on the world.
I've stopped playing tyranids for a while until iron halos/energy shields are fixed (I've had 2 AG warrior squads and hormagaunt squad soloed by a thunderhammer/iron halo force commander who was at best lvl3), and until plasma's aren't just so fucking amazing and undercosted that I can't say no to them.
I'd also like to see some anti-building unit for T1 that isn't lol-spore mines since those are completely unreliable in my experiances, working only about 1/3rd of the time at getting rid of people in a building. Doubt that will happen though.
Oh, and for my god damn nid abilities to FUCKING WORK! My flashhooks are doing the animation, and not doing the pull or even the damage over 50% of the time now, and Tyrants Bioplasma can be interupted by a sneeze, and yet the energy and cooldown are activated, completely annoying.
Also, out of the 12-15 3v3 games I played today, I only counted about 3 nids players, none of them were higher then TS18 or so, while allthe TS30+ were SM/Eldar with an odd ork player every so often. I didn't think the patch changed much but did the pop cap bug really change peoples views that much?
Seriously, if you want to fuck over a nid, stick a bolter into one of the very large buildings and laugh. A full squad of spore mines do exactly shit to the large buildings, and we have nothing else until at least t2 when a 400/40 zoey will take 30+ seconds to kill the building. The small buildings are also fucking annoying, but get the fuck out of there the instant you see spores, as they one shot small buildings.
I also don't bother using flesh hook most of the time anymore, unless it will kill a hero or the last member of squad while they're retreating. Any other time just isn't worth the risk of 45 energy evaporating when he does the animation, uses the energy and nothing happens, when I need that energy for pheromone and leaping. Hooks working like they're supposed to, ie launching concurrently with the animation, is a fucking rare event.

How about troop transports that are....oh...I dunno...good for transporting troops?
Right now with the lethargic way that troops both enter and leave transports and the fact that you'll lose everything inside if the transport blows (with the fragility of vehicles in such a fast paced game) makes them pretty much useless in their supposed designated function.
Eh, I just watched a replay where the Ork player had Stikkbommas and a Trukk harassing power. Any time the Eldar player tried to stop the harassment, the Orks hopped in the Trukk and drove off. It was all fun and games until someone got a Fire Prism out.

Because the Eldar player comminuted suicide after lootas killed in in four seconds? Or a looted tank in two?

The Eldar player commited suicide - by building nothing but Warp Spiders - after the Kommando stealth two-shotted his level 3 fire prism. He even tried to run away from the second volley, and got maybe 10 foot.
Just spent 3 hours farming a Tyranid assassination mission (aka leaving my pc on while my manz defend a bridge). Got 5 levels and a fuckload of gear. What makes this interesting is the gear I got: I found items I've never seen before...shit that neatly fits into those gear gaps people have been experiencing. For example: 3 green missile launchers (lvls 11, 12 ,13). Even got some blues off normal badguys, never know that was possible. I found a fair spread of everything except assault cannons, stormbolters, stormhammer/shields and heavy flamers which is pretty messed up seeing as I'd gotten my first termie armor over 6 levels ago. They should really make those types of items drop at a lower level so that your terminators have something to equip pre-endgame.
Also found some blighted gear and a blue boltgun with melee stats. It's weird.
