Post Apocalyptic Double Feature at Pax -- VOTE HERE!
Hey guys. It's Matt, community manager over at Bethesda Softworks. This year at PAX, we're having a Post Apocalyptic Double Feature (8:30 PM on Saturday in Raven Theatre). As the name indicates, there will be two post apocalyptic-themed films shown. We've put together a short list of movies, and we'd like you guys to vote for the two that will be screened at PAX.
The choices are:
• A Boy and His Dog
• Beneath the Planet of the Apes
• Damnation Alley
• I Am Legend
• Omega Man
• The Road Warrior
• Twelve Monkeys
As soon as Robert puts a poll in here, you can (between now and Wednesday, August 27th ) vote for the film you're most interested in seeing. See you at the show!
BTW, this thread was approved by Robert Khoo.

Ron says war never changes. Snake says it does. What gives?
"The_Reflection has a story, that must be told"..."He is already a legend, and he ain't even old"
"He can drink a river of blood and not burst"..."He can swallow a desert and never thirst"

I wonder how many people have even seen Beneath the Planet of the Apes... that was an awful movie, probably the worst of the first four movies (five was an animated corpse, and six doesn't count because it's a ghey remake and remakes generally suck). But it would be a great movie to go all MST3K on.
And yes, I am Legend is not much more than a remake of Omega Man. They're both meh.
I guess I'll vote for the Road Warrior because Mel Gibson is hilarious, and 12 Monkeys is overrated.
I wish somebody would screen Zardoz. ZARDOZ! Because nothing is funnier that Sean Connery's costume in that movie.

I whole-heartedly agree, however the comedic impact of the costume is more or less eliminated/overshadowed by the cringe-inducing power of Connery in a loin cloth.
Cringe-inducing? Sean Connery is hot. Surprisingly agelessly hot. Of course my ability to appreciate that might be sourced in my bisexuality.

I am really pleased to see that Omega Man is at least beating its usurper, I am Legend.

I'm comfortable enough (in my heterosexuality) to admit that the man is/was hot. But the sheer ammount of body hair on display in Zardoz produces a bit of a negative reaction.
That's always the best way. Stand and be counted! I say.

The Road Warrior

Honestly, none of the others interest me in the slightest...
No Resident Evil Extinction?
good point
My vote is for Doomsday and Resident Evil Extinction
I'd rather watch a marathon of Uwe Boll movies than watch Resident Evil: Extinction again.
That's quite the statement. I'll agree that RE:E was painful...but have you *seen* Alone in the Dark?
Yes. I agree. OMEGA MAN and THE ROAD WARRIOR.
Twelve Monkeys is a good movie, but we need a Zombie Movie in this, and everyone loves The Road Warrior.
12 MONKEYS!
It was better than Apocalypse.
Also, Wesker.
No. No it wasn't.
I'm good, but I'm not that good.
I like it, but I voted Road Warrior because if I vote for Omega Man than Road Warrior might not get chosen and I'd rather see Road Warrior.
I mean, its about a boy and a dog! It just HAS to be a warm, happy, feel good story, right?
...right?
