I am having a fantastic time with it and I love the mechanics, which seem simple at first for a 4X but are surprisingly complicated in practice. I absolutely love the make your own race thing and then when you win, you can escalate them to your pantheon so they turn up elsewhere (as heroes or as potential rivals in future games).
Locations ALM(Assistant Location Manager) in film, member of Teamsters 728:
$26.24/hr
Time and a half after 8 hours each day, typically working 12 hour days.
$80/day worked into an FSA paid for by the studio
$120/day worked into a 401k paid for by the studio
Currently $25/week box rental, basically paying for me using my personal computer. Was $50, but of course the extra $25 is where the producers decided to save money.
$15/day meal allowance
$50/day car allowance
All in all, last year I made around $110k or so, but I was lucky enough to be employed year round in a slightly non-traditional position. This job ends on May 31st, so the rest of the year is going to be interesting. Leaving the film industry for an equivalent job is roughly a $40-50k pay cut per year, but I also would see sunlight most days instead of working 6A-6:30P.
