Krul said "Green Arrow" would soon see the resolution of the Queen storyarc, then move into "Who is Black Arrow?" "Green Arrow's needed a nemesis for a while, and this will set that up," Krul said.
Why not bring back the Red Dart? At least he'd be a little different. Morrison even introduced a new one in his JLA run.
Really, Ollie has such a woefully undeveloped Rogues Gallery that it's not even funny. I still can't believe they killed Brick, one of the few really cool things to come out of Winick's run.
Even more archers for Ollie to fight. I guess if you're an evil guy, but really good at archery, you can't decide to pick on the super strongmen or the flyers or the people with lasers coming out of their eyes. There are only so few heroes you can be a real menace to.

I guess whichever villain decides to just bring some guns and become a GA villain would actually have an advantage. This is the key flaw in being an archer superhero, exploit it.

Post here about the General DC Universe such as the following Crises:
Crisis on Infinite Earth Questions? Got nuts!
Zero Hour: Crisis in Time question? Hell I haven't even heard of this one but somebody else has!
Identity Crisis Question? Post em!
Infinite Crisis Questions? Post those too!
Final Crisis question? I have some of those!
Or use this thread for any other General DC conversation as we don't really have one and I keep putting questions into the current big DC megaevent thread.
They are killing too many villians and then bringing them back. Death must is a joke in the DC universe.
I read Infinite Crisis recently, and I don't really know what to think of it. it was pretty cool seeing multiverses and massive fights and loads of characters actally doing stuff rather than just hang around like in most Marvel events. I think I like how massively Cosmic the DC events are to be honest, and the whole Superboy Prime thing was very cool. Lots of people hate that character but I actually thought he made a great villain, basically a boy who had been cooped up too long and couldn't take the pressure. The big fights towards the end between him and Supermen/Green Lanterns were pretty great, something you don't get so much from Marvel as all-out combat between flying bricks is not something they really do.
Gaiman's Death is a classy lassy, but she still lets everyone come back. At least Nekron puts some effort in.
Nekron's a bitch, Gaimen' death (and all the endless really) are where it's at. I particularly like Destiny, who is pretty aweseome with his cloak and book.
Destiny isn't Gaiman's, he predates his work on DC, he just wove him into the Endless. Destruction is the best, Delirium sucks though.
Huh, didn't know that. I liked all the Endless, they were actually rather cool in that they were cosmic beings of immense power but also very relatable in their family arguments.
Sure Delirium is like an idealized version of those lameass girls from high school who were really into Invader Zim, but she still has some good moments.
Its actually fascinating how black jeans and having them speak in a modern manner can make anthropomorphic personifications relatable. I'll always remember a series of panels in Sandman where Dream goes through different clothes as he thinks his life over, starting in some flowing robe, ending in him in a black wife beater and jeans looking like a university drop out after a bad acid trip.
The only reason I disliked Del is because she was too sane for a thing that was all forms off mental illness at once. And indeed, her finest moment is in the garden at the end of Destiny's maze, where she pulls herself together and gives Dream a pep talk in a coherent manner. Thats Madness' best moment, not being mad.
I like Delirium. At least, I like the concept of her.
She was born as Delight, the anthropomorphic personification of joy and innocence, until she was driven insane by some unknown event. Or, you could also look at it differently. No one can remain innocent forever, not even the Endless. She grew up and is now stuck between childhood and adulthood. The world stopped being simple and became a mess of complexities and shades of gray, and she's simply unable to cope.
In other words, she's a teenager. Someday she'll grow up and become something else beginning with D.
She's already showing signs of this. She pulled herself together when Destiny was bullying Dream. This happened in Brief Lives, in which Dream and Delirium was searching for Destruction, who also represents Change, as destruction is required for new things to grow. In the end, Dream was unable and/or unwilling to change and eventually died.
Delirium, however, did not, since she is capable of changing herself.
Have you read the Crisis on Infitite Earths yet? I need to grab that one, and supposively it is great.
Yes.
It is the best crossover I have ever read. Absolutely everything about it is fucking grand and awesome, and Perez's art and layouts (if he did those layouts himself) are really amazing and unlike anything seen in today's books, even in Perez's modern work. The cosmic story is just fucking awesome. Every issue has its own confined story, and most of the issues are oversized.
Every comic fan owes it to themselves to read CoIE. The only bad thing about it is when they remastered the art in the mid 90s, they added this really ugly lens flare effect all over.

Great art, but the story is a total mess. Also, you'll be better off reading one of the newer collected volumes than reading the original issues - CoIE was used as a test case for a new coloring/printing process (at the time), and it looked horrid.

Manhunter, Huntress, or that woman from Checkmate would be dark.
Also, I wonder which Wonder Woman he's dating.

Hey
Hey
Black Racer is the BEST Death.
His armor wasn't black until the 80's
Ahahahahahaha.
Next you'll say that Black Panther and Black Lightning are named after their theme.
So yeah, I guess it was pretty cool.
