Hi all,
I'm pretty new here. Moved to the Seattle area a lil over a year ago. Just got laid off Aug 28th. Man am I freakin bored. I really don't know any body here except for my wifes family and a few ex coworkers who i would actually hang out with. I'm a gamer not as hardcore as i use to be(kids will do that to you), a juggalo(also not as hardcore as I use to be). I really just need to to talk to or hang out with like minded people. pretty sure iI can find some here.
#1 - Stop saying that. It's dumb, makes you sound like an immature kid, and will turn off 99.99999% of the population. Defining yourself by a (bad) band is something kids in early high school do, not adults.
#2 - Seattle is a big city, and I'm sure there are tons of volunteer opportunities around. Not only is it a good use of time, but you also meet decent people and can potentially find a job lead doing it if not get references.

maybe telling someone who is having trouble finding a place socially to shed one of the few communities he identifies with isn't the best advice?

How about a "re-branding" than? "Hello, my name is MentholKiller, and I like bands such Insane Clown Posse. I went to a concert last month and it was top notch." I'd drop the Juggallo thing unless you want to associate exclusively with them.
As for being unemployed, start looking for networking groups in your area. A lot of churches seem to be organizing them, at least here in Chitown. Obviously get your resumes together, decide if you're going to go on unemployment, etc., but look into some groups. It helps you get out of your house and will give you some good ideas on what to do in your job search.

Thanks for the the hate. I'm sure your ignorance and intolerance turns on 99.99999% of the population. I was just trying to describe some of my interest to find like minded people on here.

Actually... there aren't many ICP fans in Seattle. We're rather indie/dance-oriented, and the term "juggalo" would likely turn off 99% of the local population.
Not to say that you can't like ICP at all. Most Seattleites are more open-minded than the hipster population would have you believe, and even if they don't like something they'll usually get past it if you're a cool person. But you'll probably be in the minority.

Looks like a fringe thing.
