Well, this is going to be a long shot, but what the hell: Back in September I was talking to a friend of mine about Beatles RB and such, so he bought the game to play with his wife. I had given him my old RB1 gear already, but he needed a mic, so I told him to look out for a copy of Lips and I would split the two mics with him. He ended up getting it at Best Buy, but the monkeys at a different GameStop convinced him those mics wouldn't work with Beatles, despite my specifically telling him they would, so he bought a wired mic there and is using that. Now he can't return the Best Buy version, because it's outside the return window, so ...
... is anyone here interested in buying a Spanish language version of Lips on 360 with two mics? :P
Also, the three notes in the song come at the very beginning in the form of a single kick+Y+G, so you don't even have a chance of missing the notes due to forgetting about them.
I'm not hearing things am I? The version of Fat Bottomed Girls we got was some kind of an edit, right? Because it seems to be missing a bunch of opening guitar licks and the outro is cut short.

It's edited some, it's about 30 seconds shorter than the original studio cut. There are a couple of repetitions of the opening lick missing and the outro is indeed trimmed.
I'm not complaining though, what we got still kicks ass.

So, never had this happen before.
We were playing the new Queen pack, and the misses is singing on One Vision (medium).
She get the first phrase all to herself, and she gets an awesome, but just barely. I checked the scoring and she only had 398 points.

I'm not really complaining either, it's just...odd...is all. After watching the I Want to Break Free video, I was pretty sure it wasn't the 'official' album cut. And after checking the disc, it's a shorter version of the Extended Mix on the Hollywood re-release. (For all I know, though, this shorter version is available on a different disc...)

Why is he playing Beatles: RB regularly with someone and not in need of at least two mics?

How does that work?
I've had this happen once or twice while I was singing, but I have no explanation for it either.
Also kind of sad that you have to sing all of Freddie's wankery during the end of Somebody to Love. I wanted to sing the choir part!! Thats what I always sing in the car!
That's been around since Rock Band 1. Basically just a scoring mistake that comes with the engine for vocals. I haven't seen it happen in the Beatles RB as that's a different engine.
Someone explain to me how the harmonies in B:RB work. Cause I don't get it.
1) Have 2-3 mics connected to the console.
2) Start up a song as normal. All three vocalists are handled by one (non-instrument) controller.
3) There will be 2-3 singing parts, depending on the song, with each section a different color (blue, orange, and brown). Sometimes multiple people sing the same thing at the same pitch and the line will be a combined color.
4) Anyone can sing any part but in order to get full points, all of the sections have to have a full completion bar at the end of each phrase (Double Fab! or Triple Fab!).
5) Scoring-wise, if only one section gets completed, then it is scored as normal vocals are (i.e. 1000 x multiplier on expert). Any other completed phrases add points to that (not sure exactly how much it is).
6) As long as one section is completed every phrase, there will be no multiplier penalty.

Can't wait to check those out!
Also, one cool thing I noticed about Beatles: RB the other day. If you're doing vocals, then any other mic that gets plugged in during gameplay actually recognizes instantly and can start doing harmonies right there on the fly.
Just got home, jumped on the Wii Store to add more points. I don't need to throw on a lot of points, but what I saved from the Pepsi promo won't cover Beatles and Queen. Hmm ... 'under maintenance'. Oh well, I'll download what I can on RB2.
OR NOT.
Glad to see I'm not the only one but DAMN now what do I do to kill time. There can be no worse time for the Wii Store to go down. NO WORSE TIME.

Look up the Bathroom Sessions, I love them.
Obviously, it's not supposed to be something you play unless it's tacked on to the end of the Medley.

Did it also give you the 2x multiplier for the next phrase?

Convince him how awesome harmonies are!

See, I've had the pie thing happen to me before, but I just assumed it was either lag, or the engine just acting weird.
This is the first time I've ever seen someone get an awesome but not the full points for an awesome phrase.

Seriously though, fat bottom girls is awesome fun.
I already started the install 3 minutes ago, too, so it's too late to stop...
Hurrah! Got an error! Going to skip needless updates when possible...
It also includes a game code to unlock a "special in-game photo album" as a gamestop bonus. I'm a rebel, so here's the code:
As a bonus for pre-ordering The Beatles: Rock Band, here is a free button mash to unlock a special in-game photo album.
On the Splash/Title Screen of the game, enter the following code:
Xbox Guitar/Drums: B Y O O O B B B Y O (for guitar: use main fret buttons, not solo frets)
Xbox Controller: X Y LB LB LB X X X Y LB
You will then see a pop-up letting you know that the photos are unlocked, and that you can see them in Story Mode.
Thanks,
The Beatles: Rock Band team
It unlocks a "Bonus Photos" section which has some concept art and additional Beatles photos. The concept art is way awesome.
Thanks for that.

I 4-starred it on expert vocals with my sight read, I felt bad ass.
Best part was I got a full awesome on the "Why" that Freddie takes all they way up to an A5. Had to take a big ass breath after it.
