And I'm surprised to say that I didn't like it much. Man... And now I even wish I'd bought the songs individually so I could've skipped the two I really don't like. I guess I'll just have to get used to it more.
I mean, for a band with such a good guitarist, the guitar didn't get much genuine love. It's good for Bass, Drums, and Vocals though. So there is that...

I haven't bought any of the songs yet, but I figured the guitar would be pretty 'meh' on all songs.
Although having seen a video for One Vision, the solo in that seems to be one of the bigger highlights for guitarists in the pack as a whole.

Okay so I had to do a Wii update, and after (for whatever reason) jumped directly into RB2, downloaded Killer Queen, Somebody To Love, and Fat Bottom Girls. Played 'em with my fiancee, we loved them, then played some other stuff before she started to get ready for bed. So then I go back to the Wii Store ... and it can't connect. I have a sneaking suspicion that if I tried to download more songs they too wouldn't work, but right now I'm just gonna play some World of Goo for awhile, try again in a little bit.
Edit: Dear God I am retarded. I unplugged the internet connection (wired) so Crystal could sing. Hey guess what works now?
Also apparently I get a free NES title because I paid for Internet Channel and now it's free ... again. Hooray.
E2: (I don't want to double post) Sweet, got my 3000 points and Super Mario 3. It was the only smart choice.

Most of the songs are pretty easy, but they all have really solid beats to them, and they all have some really awesome fills and/or breakdown sections.
Hamonix. Though, techinically both since I'd have liked some of the songs to be different.
I just finished them on bass. It definitely makes the pack more worth it. Bass felt 'right'. The guitar just seemed off somehow. And more than just charting keyboards to it...
I was listening to Pandora today and have come to the conclusion that the absence of Collective Soul -- Heavy is a pretty glaring omission on the part of Harmonix.
Been listening to a ton of Joy Division and New Order lately. I think there could easily be a pair of good packs, but I don't think either band's best known songs would work very well ("Love Will Tear Us Apart" and "Blue Monday", respectively). Also, both would be tons of fun on bass.
JD: "Disorder", "Transmission", "Dead Souls", "She's Lost Control", "Shadowplay", etc.
NO: "Ceremony" (fast version), "Age of Consent", "Temptation", "Regret", etc.
Yeah, I'd like to see Joy Division at some point. I brought this up with a co-worker once (he played RB as well) and he was like "It'd be funny if they animated the singer to have a stroke during the song."

YEEEEEEEEEEES.
I still remember buying that CD after I saw them play that on Conan O Brien. Its one of those weird memories that I have that there's really no reason for it to be so vivid. I just was randomly watching Conan, and saw them. I remember thinking I liked some other stuff in the past so I stayed tuned.
Holy shit that song just blew me away.
I play real guitar as well, and still to this day, when looking for Wah pedals, compare the sound to that solo. That's just the exact tone I want for every wah ever.

That song in a pack with [Bush - Everything Zen] and [Third Eye Blind - Narcolepsy]. It'd be like high school all over again.

In general, we could use some more good 90s rock. Like, Creed would be objectively bad. More Radiohead (like, all of OK Computer or The Bends) please. Our Lady Peace isn't for everybody, but stuff off of Spiritual Machines I'd probably get. Everclear had one good CD and it's called So Much For the Afterglow, and I'd buy the shit out of it.
mxmarks, I still do the same thing with my wah too. Unfortunately nobody sounds just like Ross Childress, which is really what the new CS stuff lacks, in my opinion.

So Much For The Afterglow never left my walkman when it came out. I would buy the shit out of any of those songs. OLP is good for Happiness... and Clumsy too. I know Raine's vocals get to people, but damn if they don't have some fantastic songs that should be in RB.

I think that being in Rock Band would actually increase appreciation for his voice. He's got a weird singing style but it's really difficult to ape, whether you like it or not, especially on the early quirky OLP stuff.

I fully agree and its one of the main reasons they're in my top 5 bands I love. I would kill to sing something like Clumsy, Starseed, Life, Theif or Everyone's a Junkie. Goddamnit, now I need to pull up an OLP album and bother the co-workers.
Some stuff of Healthy in Paranoid times might not be so bad. Something like Will the Future Blame us or Wipe that Smile off Your Face. Even some stuff off Gravity wasn't that bad. For drummers, Stealing Babies would be pretty cool. Who wouldn't want to drum some Elvin Jones?
The worst thing about an Everclear pack is that it would draw more attention to the usage of the word "yes" and its derivatives (yeah, oh yeah, affirmative).
So, I have a question that I don't believe was answered in the first post. Feel free to yell at me if it was (preferably whilst answering, since my asking means I'm incapable of finding it on my own).
I have never played a rock band game, but I've played a couple of the GH games. If I were to buy Beatles Rock Band, would I be able to play the DLC from all versions of Rockband? What about the trackpack discs I see in stores?
If not, do I then need to buy RB2 and Beatles RB, to get the full experience? Queen 10-pack and the Abbey Road album both sound fantastic to me.

I want Core. I mean I would love to at least have Plush, but I would love the entirety of Core released in a song pack. They don't seem to hate STP over at HMX, so why this hasn't happened yet is beyond me. I wanna play some Crackerman...
The Beatles: Rock Band's Abbey Road Medley is so awesome and makes me wish my other long music epic, 2112 by Rush to be released sometime in the Rock Band Marketplace.
You just can't strum on any of the hammer-on notes, and you have to hit every one of them. You have to be pretty disciplined, it's easy to accidentally strum on some of those notes.
I'm working on also getting Dig A Pony, but that one long run of HOPOs after the solo and the ending trill will probably screw me up for a while.
Oh god, there's an achievement like that on the Country Pack for Satellite Radio. I have yet to ever get it because I always fuck up on at least one of them.

As was already mentioned, if its a Beatles song, it can only be played on Beatles:Rock Band. Otherwise, every other song (minus 3 from the RB1) can be exported/downloaded/played on Rock Band 2. Rock Band 2 is the main "platform" that supports like over 900 songs now.
A new copy of RB2 nets you 84 on disc songs + a code for 20 free downloadable songs (used copy means you are probably going to miss out on the free 20). Renting RB1 nets you the ability to export 55 of the 58 on disc songs for like 5 bucks (400 MSP?). Purchasing brand new track packs gives you codes to download those songs to RB. Getting used copies of track packs means you are probably out of luck.
And then you have all that DLC. Your wallet will hate you for it.

I think they're having Kevin Hearn do it. It's...interesting. They have a live version of the band without Page up on their official site.

More mid 90s britrock would be fun, too.
