I just finished playing through the whole album in one go myself, and it is indeed fantastic. And yes, as mentioned above, playing through the whole medley is a transcendental experience. It just has so many great moments. Getting caught up in the energy of Polythene Pam, the catchyness of She Came in Through the Bathroom Window, the beauty of You Never Give Me Your Money and Golden Slumbers, the calmness of Sun King, and every time Carry that Weight starts I can't help but have a gigantic grin on my face.
So out of curiosity, if you arrange according to album, then select Abbey Road and "play all," do you do each piece of the medley and then the full medley, or does the game know to ignore the medley chunks?
Getting me to buy a full-album Sgt. Pepper is a much harder sell than Abbey Road was. Mostly because Good Morning Good Morning is already my favorite song off that album by a factor of like infinity.
If I can't play Sgt. Pepper as 'intended', I don't think I'll be especially happy with it. I don't think I've heard it as released in 15-20 years.
I have no idea what this means because I know very little about The Beatles other than I like most of their music.
There was an intended release order that either just Lennon or the whole band wanted. Just a slight alteration of Side-A (1-2-7-5-3-4-6). I've listened to it in that order for however long and it would be awkward to play it any other way in-game.

Why couldn't you play it in that order? Just make a setlist of the songs in that order.

Does it segue into each other when using that order or anything, or is it more for a better flow?
Anyway, I figure it will by default go in the order of all the actual releases - but I don't know why you couldn't just make-a-setlist with the songs in the other order when you want to play the album in full. It's all of an extra 15 seconds to set it up, and if it really improves your enjoyment of the album then it's certainly worth it I'd imagine.
Now to set up a playlist with it ordered like that and see how it flows.

I suppose that's doable. Honestly, I hadn't thought about that since I really don't consider Quickplay as an option whilst playing RB2. I'd rather just select the album and be asked which order than have to manually select each song.
I know. But I don't have Abbey Road yet so I don't know how it's treated there. Plus, I think I implied the Medley treatment to the whole album. Mea Culpa.
For whoever was wondering, by the way, Abbey Road album play seems to properly handle the medley.
I just queued up the album and played through Come Together and the between-song dialog notes it as song 1 of 8. The Album, then, is separated as follows if you sort by album and hit "Play All" for Abbey Road: Come Together
Something
Maxwell's Silver Hammer
Oh! Darling
Octopus's Garden
I Want You (She's So Heavy)
Here Comes The Sun
Full medley
Because is skipped in my set, because I checked this on drums. On other instruments, it'd be presented as a 9 song set with Because after Here Comes The Sun.
It's really odd how high a percentage of some albums they represented in game and how little of others. After they announced Abbey Road as an album but before they had announced all the songs, they ended up announcing a lot more of Abbey Road than I thought they would. They basically included all the well known singles.
Similarly, it was pretty shocking looking at Sgt. Peppers and realizing that, if they don't include the original version of Within You Without You, the album next month will only be 7 more songs to download. And as great as some of them are, A Day In the Life in particular, they've already taken most of the highly requested songs.
It's a shame they aren't yet focusing on getting more from With The Beatles or The Beatles For Sale, or some of the singles. I think the idea of "Entire Sgt. Peppers Album for Download" has a lot more pull than "Fixing a Hole, Being For the Benefit of Mr. Kite, She's Leaving Home, A Day in the Life, Lovely Rita, When I'm Sixty Four, and the Reprise".
I Wanna Be Your Man is the only song in the game I don't like, and it is a shame that it is the only representation of With The Beatles when we could have: It Won't Be Long, All My Loving, Please Mister Postman, Roll Over Beethoven, Hold Me Tight, You Really Got a Hold On Me, and Money.
(Edit: I mean, these two songs have asterisks and the others don't. Also, worst TOTP ever.)

Can't wait for Sgt. Pepper in November. I already have codes for Lovely Rita and A Day in the Life though from gamestop
Or if Arikado's sister is playing then that's already a full band so nevermind!
Yeah. And then back to Borderlands. :P
It is my favorite Beatles song.

I doubt she'll be down, it being Friday and all.
Also, I don't get out of work for another 3 or so hours so carry on if that is too long to wait.
EDIT: That is to say you can choose to do Harmonies online but those 2-3 people have to be on one account and singing locally.

I actually have no idea what "as intended" means.

Though I think you already have a full group.
