Man this game was so awesome, I wish enemies didn't dissapear after I finished the game, cause now the island seems empty to me and i've got all these awesome gadgets to verse them with.
I'm like actively seeking out the crazy dudes that I didn't get to before.
Oh and the challenge modes are awesome, exploding gargoyles can go eat a dick.

I've actually three-batted all extreme predator challenges shortly after my previous post.
It takes some getting used to, and you really do have to adjust your thinking, but its not that hard to get along without gargoyles. The hardest thing was probably setting up the simultaneous three-walls kills on the first extreme challenge. I sure did feel like a badass when it worked, though.

The only real hard part about that is figuring out where to plant the three bombs, and even that's just a little bit of trial and error.

What I liked most about the Extreme Predator challenges (besides the 'no time limit' bit) was that it teaches you to not fully rely on the gargoyles. In-game, it's only the one room so you really don't have to think about it. Going through on Hard afterward was interesting in trying out new techniques.

Yeah, only I didn't use the three sensible spots. I only spotted the last one on the top floor after I've already managed to do it some other way. I used the breakable wall on the bottom floor, and lured a random goon using the sonic batarang. It was a bitch to time it so he'll get there just as the two patrolling guards get in position.

I see that no one read my post about the ceiling in that challenge room counting as two walls?

I also didn't know you could knock people out by smashing your way through the glass so it was pretty cool to find that out.
You know I'm sitting here thinking exactly what FPS or multi-platform game that has come out recently which has had the PC for it's lead platform and I'm coming up with zilch except maybe crytek games.
I'm that star up in the sky
I'm that mountain peak up high
Hey I made it,
I'm the world's greatest
And I'm that little bit of hope
When my back's against the ropes
I can feel it,
I'm the world's greatest
Even though I fucked up on the final round (90k is easy to get on it), I did some stellar work the first three rounds, and am therefore #1.
I'll keep re-doing it to get the 250k or thereabouts, which is the cap.
So, I just got out of the botanical gardens and grabbed the bat-zip line thing. And I've been noticing that there are weak walls that I can't get up to. Like, they're in the wall with no ledge that I can reach them from. How do I get them?
And it leads up to another variation (Batclaw Strike).
Well really the batclaw strike is the thing that adds to the variation, you're right. It's just one addition, and you get it for the strike, not the batclaw itself.

No, that's not right. You might be getting confused because using the batclaw doesn't add to the combo meter, but it definitely adds to the variation.

Nope. What adds to the variation is hitting them while they're stumbling from the batclaw.
Using the batclaw doesn't increase your combo or give you any points, but that's what gives you a variation bonus. The only way I can really prove it is by saying 'test it yourself', although I could link this GameFAQs thing that lists all the moves you need for variation, and it says "batclaw - double tap RT", with no mention of batclaw strikes until it discusses scoring.
After that, turn around (remember, you still have some time after a ground dodge, as long as you don't try to do a second one) and fire off your Batclaw. This will grab three enemies and stun them. Next, round off a quick tap of the Batarang.
He's talking about how to quickly get a 9 variation bonus, and there's no talk there about following it with a strike.

I want to hang a guy from one of them before it explodes.
They tried to bury us. They didn't know that we were seeds. 2018 Midterms. Get your shit together.
I don't think you can, but I'd like to see that...

How they do in in 43 seconds I don't know.

Any Valve game?

I enjoy zipping up to them and swinging around all of them sequentially watching the fool henchmen running to the one that exploded 8 seconds ago.
Also, I'm thinking about all of the combat moves there are to get that achievement to do them all in one perfect combo.
Unblockable takedown, Requires 8x or 5x combat multiplier
Throw, Requires 8x or 5x combat multiplier
Ground Pound takedown
Strike
Cape Stun
Counter
Evade
Batarang
Batclaw
Is that all of them? I can't think of anything else
Power Strike and Critical Strike are.
Please get a DS and play some Mario Brothers or something. You've missed a lot.

You are most likely to do them automatically as you punch fools. No need to even look for them.
Evade is part of it. The contributors to 9x variation are:
Punch
Counter
Throw
Combat Takedown
Ground Takedown
Evade
Batarang
Batclaw
Cape Stun
You're totally right. Evade is part of it.
For some reason I thought the two types of strike are in it, because evade just so seems like a non-move.
But yeah, I was wrong.
No it doesn't, the batclaw strike counts as a normal strike.

you guys are just
goddamn
Nope. What adds to the variation is hitting them while they're stumbling from the batclaw.
Did you break up the party? Because if not then I think I know how you missed the achievement.
