Mine would have to be UFC Cage Fighter. Man, I would love to have that sort of athlethisism and say I punch people for a living. Also, I would have a very dainty hobby, like macrame or rose gardens.
protip: when priming canvases, apply gesso with a credit card or squeegee instead of a brush - results in a much smoother finish and less overall sanding
shit works wonders
Another protip: For oil and acrylic users, use exterior house paint instead of gesso. It's much cheaper. Comes in many-gallon containers at Home Depot. Two or three coats will do the trick.
i thought house paint doesn't have the binding effects of gesso? that's why store-bought canvases primed in titanium white instead of gesso are like painting on a cheese grater and are often quite loose.
Yes, "killing your passion" did sound a bit Harsh. I just go thru burn out periods and then something always happens to make it interesting again. I think it's a drawback in Sales. You get excited about a product and know that it belongs in a certain place, and when the customer doesn't share your enthusiasm it gets deflating. It's still by far the best job I've had and offers a lot of perks.

Yeah maybe this works fine for acrylic but this really isn't a good idea with oil. I mean, I don't even like half of the gessos I have used. This is a nice gesso tutorial if anyone is interested.

Silly me, I should have said that this is best used with something like medium density fiber board. The wood drinks the first layer in and then binds it. My bad.

Also, it definitely also works on paper. Perhaps not the best, but for rough or small stuff it's fine.
Tynic, as a fellow HIGHLY EDUCATED INDIVIDUAL, I enjoy your artowork.
why SALUTATIONS to you on this unseasonably cool evening, Herr Bear. By the by, should you be so inclined at any point, I would greatly enjoy perusing more of your own creative endeavours, I have always found them most entertaining.
what the hell is that anyway; seconds per square inch?
I don't see what the problem is. If you multiply the coefficient I gave by the size of your canvas in square inches you get the amount of time it takes to gesso-ify a canvas.

i draw for a living
i have the best fucking job in the world.
it has been my passion for 12 years, and it still is, despite tons of shitty clients and two studio jobs which had me doing it all day everyday
I would fix up classic cars and sell them to people.

to each his own, i suppose
Rock Star!
I instant messaged you, you fucker. Don't put your screen name up here asking for attention ever again
or any animals in such a place.
if i could do that, and freelance on the side for the rest of my life, i would be the happiest person on the planet.
...i suppose with my past degree in science almost being complete, this is probably more doable than i originally thought
....hmmmmmmmmm
I didn't realize aim had a tab-like structure- I figured new messages would pop up like the first guy who added me.

I believe that to be an overestimation.

I'm glad someone else made this terrible pun so i didn't have to.
Being around dogs / learning new things both seem to be instances in which I will become borderline incoherent with glee, yes.
God damn you good madam.
PS: Is there a student version of zbrush? I neeeeeed it...
I'm here to take that bullet whenever need be.
