In other news: weddings are fucking exhausting. I was my brother's best man for his wedding yesterday and we had a barbecue for the families Friday night, followed by the rehearsal, followed by going out and getting drunk with my brother and the other groomsmen, followed by waking up yesterday feeling like death, followed by the ceremony, followed by about 10,000 photos, followed by the reception, followed by the clean up of the reception, then finally sleep.
Now I'm getting ready to go to a final family brunch and then the whole thing is finally over. It went well and everyone had a good time but the last two days have been intense.
Technically he's not a bad room mate; he shares the expenses, we split the housekeeping duties, he cooks and cleans his share of meals (as I do). Not a bad guy at all.
But holy monkeys is he a shut in. Better yet, he's not a shut in per se, but a very exclusive character. He's one of those asian guys who only hangs around other asian people, and never wants to do anything outside of that group.
He's also incredibly lazy. He goes to school, finishes his work as fast as he can so he can go home, then spends his entire afternoon/evening chatting with his girlfriend or small group of friends. He never wants to do more work than he has to in school, and i'm pretty sure i've surpassed him in quite a few elements of drawing. When I first met him last year and saw how diligently he worked in the classroom, I thought he had some real dedication to his craft, but it looks like I was mistaken.
So in short, he's a good room mate but a terrible friend.
Looks like I gotta do something drastic real soon else my social life is going to tank hard.
Haha. Loom, loom, for some people being social is a big part of their life. Me for instance, I love my alone time, but I go crazy if I don't hang out with friends at least a couple times a week. I wouldn't say he's being a silly little highschool type. Some people just have to be or enjoy being more social than others.
I'm not worried about being attacked by aliens. All we have to do is download window's vista into their computer system and watch the self destruction afterward.
So I did some drawing the other day. That was weird. Maybe I should try it again some time.
How's the job hunt going?
Shitty. I've just been catching schoolkids and shaking them upside down until the money falls out of their pockets. I figure if I get caught I'll be tried as a minor based on my height.
