Good guest strip. I laughed, anyway. It's a shame the author seems to be a straight up douche on Twitter.

    EDIT: I mean really:
anything new or different or that makes you have to think a little is scary.

What the Hell was thought provoking about a hammered-in Alien reference?

Donuts are delicious and terrible for you. But that's ok, they're pigs and don't need to watch their weight.

Wow, I thought Jon Rosenberg was referring to a wholly different thread. But then I saw he even linked to this one.

I've got no idea why he reacts so fiercely to the little criticism present here. And why he has to insult the forum community as a whole.

If he was the creator of the Lookouts guest strips, he'd probably have gone ballistic.

He did kind of admit it isn't so bad afterwards.

Seems like he just had some preconceived notions about what kind of people post here, although if he happened to only have read the lookouts threads before this I can't say I fucking blame him.

Yeah that's what I was thinking.

I mean there was an even worse thread on it in D&D in addition, right?

I really want to see a Kate Beaton PA (although she doesn't give a shit about videogames) but the fallout would be horrifying and I'd probably have to kill some people.

A Kate Beaton guest strip? Oh yes. But, honestly, I don't really know if that would be a good idea. Her style and PA probably don't mesh very well.

Yeah, I don't know about that either.

Would I want Beaton to do a PA guest strip or would I want her to do another history strip? If I think about it like that, the guest strip doesn't seem all that appealing.

But hey what do I know, maybe Beaton would rock the shit out of a PA guest strip, having Tycho Brahe the Danish nobleman interact with the Gabe we all know and love in some hilarious manner or whatever!

    Speaking of which...

Looks like the artist who did Lookouts is doing a guest strip we'll see soon, since Tycho linked to Tiny Kitten Teeth in his last news post.

There were a lot of complaints about Lookouts, from the writing to the art style. Writing won't apply here, since that was someone else entirely doing it, but art style will.

(Personally, the art style didn't seem to work so well in Lookouts, but it seems okay in Tiny Kitten Teeth.)

    End on
I wish that someway, somehow, that I could save every one of us

The art style in Lookouts wasn't bad, and the writing wasn't bad either, they were both just strange, especially in the context of what normally goes down on a PA strip. Even the most abstract PA material, like Twist and Catsby or the yearly quantum leap into the CTS, still follow a much clearer pattern than the Lookouts did.

I think, if the Lookouts had been put up alongside a normal PA strip, so that people got their PA and the Lookouts they would have been much happier. People here tend to act like withdrawing crack addicts when they don't get their PA fix. Lookouts was a good jolt of some kind of trippy substance, but man, it just ain't that crack we were looking for.

And I fear it got knocked down a little on that alone. I think in the end when its published in one long segment in the PA book for it'll make a lot more sense and be much more enjoyable.

Well it was a little more than that. There was no pretense of there ever being a guest artist/writer. It was just "hey we're doing lookouts" then bam, not what we voted for.

Edit: I would like to add that the thread for that comic sickened me with some of the complaints given there. Tiny Kitten Teeth has great art, and the writer was good too. Just wasn't what was advertised.
