No but instant respawn is kind of like getting kills as a demoman.

My test server is up and running with 16 slots, a lot of intel, and a crucial parts sentry mod to prevent turtling. Who want's to help me test?

    76.87.17.249:27015

    Password: wang

The Crucial Parts Plugin works like this.
Your entire team has a certain number of crucial parts, currently my server is set to 2, and each level sentry requires a certain number of crucial parts. Right now on my server it's level 1 sentries require zero crucial parts (all engis can have at least a level 1), level 2s require 1 crucial part, and level 3s require 2. Basically what that means in the end is that your team can only have certain combinations of level sentries before you can't build or upgrade anymore. Such as one level 3 or two level 2's. I can always change these parameters, but this is really intended for CTF to prevent turtling, so my server is going to be on CTF maps.

My plan is to have my server up until around 5:00pm pst tomorrow, so I hope some people manage to test it by then. I have it capped at 16 since I don't know how much my computer can handle.

Instant respawn is fun if you are either not playing offense or not trying at all to win. If both of these conditions are met then instant respawn is the shitbag to end them all

Alroooooooight, my Zombie Arena mod now has players spawning as melee only scouts (With the aluminum bat!) with a max health of 20 hp, and all attacks except for the killing blow deal 3 damage. And they can't teamchat, voice commands, and I'll really have to wait to test if only the dead can hear them through mic. All that's left now is fixing objectives, prevent zombie healing and ubering (although maybe this isn't necessary anymore when they have so little health and do so little damage), and then aesthetics. Booyah.

By the way my sentry mod test server is still up and will be up for most of the day.

Have any other medics chimed in about the regeneration? I find myself using the vanilla needle gun now since I don't have to rely on the blut to keep me alive.

Still no reason to use a regular bonesaw though.

the blut is in every way superior to the normal gun.

There's literally no reason not to use it.

It will save your life countless times, especially running away from heavies/soldiers.

I was using natasha last night, and this medic was using the blutsauger, and he killed me two times at near point-blank when I was aware of him. It was so shameful, but I blame our unlocks.

I'm more than well aware of the usefulness of the blut seeing as how I've been using it ever since it was released.

I'm just saying that the regular needlegun feels more viable a weapon now, especially in situations where you simply cannot afford to pull out the blut and fire because you still have to keep those around you alive.

That's why heavy's unlockable minigun needs to shoot flares instead of bullets.

I use the normal bonesaw, its quicker than the ubersaw, i like quicker hits and generally dont have much time to piss about filling my uber with melee kills.

Getting slagged by an Ubersaw is probably just under getting backstabbed by a spy. It's humiliating and if you hear "UBER COMING IN" from one of your teammates then you know you're responsible for(at least) a fourth of that charge.

yeah, it's not like that 0.2 extra hit you get in with the bonesaw will make too much difference if you are in a situation to need the saw out

    1/4 ubercharge is, though

    .... what?

    So where's your arguement?

That you can't protect your teammates with the regular needlegun? ;d

Either way you'll be healing your teammates or not healing your teammates, there is no middle.

The blut will at least save your ass and give you health faster than the enemy can hurt you (if you hit them consistantly). This leads to you being able to live longer, charge longer and heal more teammates. The needlegun will just hurt enemys and make them mad, maybe killing a straggler at best.

wait, what? I'm a noob, I must have missed the medic adjustment.

edit: I just read it and I still don't understand. The blut now takes -2 hp a second from the user when pulled out?

    I don't fucking get it.
