Good, cheap (or free) software for making DVD of slideshow?

Since a google search turned up a lot of software, I wanted to turn to PAers and see if you had any suggestions for good, easy-to-use software for taking a bunch of pics (and maybe some movie clips) and turning them into a DVD that will play a slide show. It doesn't have to be feature-rich software, but flexibility is always good, as is ease-of use.
Any freebie or cheap apps out there that people have used and would recommend?

    Windows Movie Maker or iDVD should both be able to do this. And be free.
