One word: It's back and it's going to be so awesome you'll cry.

2-nite!

There are some people out there who don't like it because of its complete lack of sentimentality, and because the characters are terrible people who never learn any lesson, despite bad things always happening to them. Those people are wrong, boring, and we shall speak of them no more.

What is totally not boring is this show, so let's talk about our favorite bits while waiting for the new season.

Mac: Dennis' mom tried to have sex with me!
Charlie: Interesting...
Mac: Yeah man, she got naked... she came on to me. I mean, that woman is straight crazy, but I think I wanna bang her, man. I know I shouldn't do it...
Charlie: I think you should do it!
Mac: What?
Charlie: Look, an opportunity like this only comes around once in a lifetime right?
Mac: Right!
Charlie: And so you'd be a fool to let it slip through your fingers.
Mac: Yeah! That's what I'm thinking! But... it's Dennis' and Dee's Mom...
Charlie: Well that means that no one ever ever is going to find out.
Mac: That doesn't make any sense...
Charlie: It doesn't have to make sense!
Mac: You're right! I'm gonna do it!

I love the format of the show. Set-up, then title card joke into the intro where it is nighttime in Philadelphia.

Frank Sets Sweet Dee on Fire is probably the best example. Gets me every time.

Nobody is going to get hurt!

I love this show so, so much. The two Nightman episodes (Sweet Dee is dating a retarded person and the finale of 4) are probably my favorites. The Bob Dylan thing gets me every time, and I have those two on my iphone just in case.

Right when I started watching this show, getting into season 2, BAMMO, Hulu had to take it down. I adored what I saw though. This show is delightfully grim.

Fox realized that people would never buy the DVDs if they could watch them online. Which is fair enough, i got to sneak in every episode before they took it down.

Seasons 3 and 4 were definitely weaker than 2, but I didn't find 1 all that entertaining. If I hadn't heard such praise for the show, I would've stopped within a few episodes.

Anyway, despite the average decline in quality during season 4, its season finale is far and away my favorite episode of the series, so I've still got high hopes for the show.

Yeah Hulu still has the show up, but only 5 episodes at a time, and they rotate them in and out.

They have some hilarious ones from Season 2 up now, though, so there's no better time to watch em for free at your leisure.

The Jihad and Welfare ones in particular are very funny.

A bit dissapointed with this episode. It wasn't as funny as I would have hoped.

Though the rant about what they could do to the family did crack me up.

EDIT: The cartoon is reminding me of Frisky Dingo. I'll dvr and watch it later.

I agree, this episode was sub-par. The discussion of what to do to the family and Charlie arguing with the lawyer were really the only amusing parts.

But they're guaranteed how far? Is it season 6 or 7?

Also, I thought Archer was too slow moving and mundane.

I was high and drunk and the cartoon was still boring for the most part, with some chuckle worthy moments.

The season premiere was funny but a little underwhelming in only that I wanted more. As far as complaints go, that aint too bad.

this episode was pretty lacking overall and i was suprised the duel storyline wasnt finished in an absurd fashion.

for everyone worried though don't be. i saw the nightman cometh play last night and they played a new episode from this season(what i assumed would be the premier) the gang reignites the rivalry. it was epicly amazing and true to form. so im just assuming this episode tonight was one of the few mediocre ones.

These are the same reasons that I have to watch it while my wife is out of the house.

She's so naturally empathetic that the show causes her physical pain if she's within earshot of it.
