It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Posts
oh, did anyone watch it in HD? It didn't look particularly great but still, for this show it was amazing.
Haven't seen seasons 3 or 4 yet. Is 3 out on DVD?
They tried to bury us. They didn't know that we were seeds. 2018 Midterms. Get your shit together.
you are a lucky fucker
They do it because that way if you miss an episode you can't catch it on Hulu before the next one airs, and they are assholes.
And that is why this show is great. Most of the horrible things that the gang gets into is a result of a more-or-less normal reaction any sane person would have.... except it's always taken a step too far, and the characters lack the normally redeeming understanding of sympathy or empathy or mores or norms or laws.
I mean: what should we consider as more alarming?
The fact that this show (with much of its humor derived from schadenfreude) exists?
-or-
The fact that people expect TV to provide its viewers with a moral compass?
Or maybe FX wants to prove that its first original show has similar viewer pulling power compared to original shows on any other network.
Maybe they're well aware its primary demographic is tech-saavy enough to use Hulu and Torrent and if they can skip watching this network, whose original content division is still in its infancy, they probably will.
Maybe it's so it doesn't get canceled.
On the black screen
Seems like Hulu would be a dandy revenue stream AND way to determine a show's popularity. But I may be a moron.
By doing this, they can have their cake and eat it, too.
I think Rescue Me started before It's Always Sunny. Did that not start on FX?
The problem is that on-demand can't steal airtime from other networks. If they start focusing on Hulu instead, they're essentially conceding that slot to their competition.
Immaterial because The Shield started even earlier. I'm under the impression that was FX's first original series but I could also be wrong like so many before me.
By all means steal the airtime by putting your awesome programming on TV. Just also put it all on Hulu so you can reap commercial revenue from people who will watch your whole series in one day and then a few months later do it again with a friend who ABSOLUTELY HAS TO SEE THIS THING.
Goddamnit. I could not place it through the entire thing.
they thought they knew what the problem was, but it wasn't it. Then they tried a controversial treatment, but it made it worse. Then House said something cryptic and asked them to do a seemingly unrelated procedure, and that solved it.
I thought it was a pretty cheapish HD, but I'm glad I didn't have to letterbox it on my TV.
Favorite season yet.
The poo mystery episode had me crying.
I'm so glad Sunny is back. I missed Charlie. :P
Oh yeah, that really narrows it down.
It came up that one of our classmates couldn't get cable where they lived, so someone from across town offered to let them come watch Always Sunny tonight.
Bringing people together through situation comedy.

I knew from the outset they wouldn't get anywhere, but it was still hilarious.
I prefer the pairing of Mac and Dennis, but this episode was awesome without focusing on them.

I disagree with you on two points.
First, I though tonights episode was as good as any episode.
Second, I don't know which season you are talking about, but every season has an episode that just falls flat, it happens.

I hope you're being sarcastic, because judging a whole season on two episodes is wrong.

by overall, i meant so far. Just saying these first two have been under par.
"Hey asshole!"
Oh god how many times have I wanted to do something like that.
I have really liked the first two episodes so far this season.
Mmmm, poisonous glaze.
yeah that really was the greatest thing. i thought the grill flying out of the back was great but god damn.
