My boyfriend is attending community college in North Carolina and resides with his mother and step father. His step father is from Switzerland and is not an American citizen and is listed on his FAFSA. Unfortunately his school and FAFSA is giving him the run around about how to get his money. His step father doesn't work and he doesn't pay taxes. Because he doesn't pay taxes my boyfriend's FAFSA can't be completed and Switzerland doesn't have anything to give to the community college to show that the step father doesn't pay taxes because, well, he doesn't.
What should he do? He's super stressed out and I'd like to help him some how.
