Because the vast majority of their playerbase never leaves secure space. Frankly I'm suprised they didn't outright ban or come up with some other way of stopping the suicide ganks on freighters at this point, since there has been many many tears over that particular tactic.

    YES! A million times, THIS.

Well if they want to be dicks and break everything, there's always the option of super jihadswarm efforts. Just fuck up the infidel mission runners until they make something else have better isk/hr.

You know, the only thing that could make this more amusing was if it had a slide show montage to go with it.

Thanks for posting, haven't listened to that since April :) Really, the best thing about it is how calm Mittens sounds. Like, it's already been bought and sold, and these are simply facts, like the sky being blue or the sun rising in the east.

When I was in MerchI, Mittens didnt seem to do much other than swoop in when the next big spy thing came along.

I always assumed he was AFK masturbating listening constant vent streams from 100 different alliances all at once.

But that might be a bit harsh. He seemed like a chill dude.

The simplest fix for the mission running problem in my opinion is just moving the really high quality level 4 mission running into low-null security. Though the forums would likely melt down from the reaction, but christ would it be awesome.

CCP is essentially fucked. They daren't change Level 4's due to the high number of pubbie fucks running them (i don't even know if they'd actually quit if it was taken away/moved/whatever, but they won't risk it), and they don't really have a way of boosting 0.0 without...ruining the in-game economy? Or something?

Seriously, why DON'T they keep level 4's as they are and simply have 0.0 be MORE valuable then that? It MUST be about inflation.

Back when I played a good number of players kept alts who's only purpose was to run lvl 4's for income. But lets face it, CCP has the reverse midas touch, as anything in game they try to change usually ends up fucked. They also seem to ignore problems until they basically become insurmountable, hence the problem with getting people into null sec, while at the same time keeping large alliances from locking all of it up and pushing out the smaller guys, while at the same time making holding space not a tedious waste of people's time. (e.g. the tower mechanic which pretty much chased me out of the game.)

To be fair Iceland isn't threatened by anything and they rely on fishing for basicly their entire economy. I mean its a country with a population of only 300k, they don't even have an army.

Also, a better part of the country believes they live alongside elves, or at least won't rule it out. In fairness, I think a people that lived for over a millennia on an tiny island isolated in the North Atlantic, with little but the highly active geology for company, have earned an imaginary friend or two.

Fighters and Fighter-Bombers are supposed to be piloted "drones" in the fluff. If you look at the various Fighters, you can see a little mans in the cockpit (we've had many late night CapSwarm conversations start out with "Oh shit, there are little mans in my fighters").

I always liked the "man in the fighter pilot" thing...

Ages ago I was one of those Interceptor pilots that would drop in fighters at game camps. I'd spend many hours just watching the little mans till the order was given.

I've been known to tell my camera to follow my fighters in big fights when I am piloting my carrier. No reason not to really. I can control everything I need from the UI, and I'd rather watch my Enherji chew on a BS than my carrier floating in space.
