It's the journal isn't it. Even on an hd set I some times have a hard time reading somethings in it. Mostly just the jokes.

Finished my 200th GAU kill. Yay second platinum trophy. Thinking about taking marco polo online but I'd feel like I've betrayed Victor Goddamn Sullivan.

So I'm on my crushing run. Anyone figure out how to stealth the 2nd set piece in chapter 22?
The monastery gates. I can get the 3 guys on the right (the two on the bottom and the guy on the ledge) fairly easily, but I get noticed half the time in the middle of taking the guy leaning against the half wall, and on the few occasions I get him, I can't even approach the guy by the fire without being noticed

Started my second run through, and I'm still blown away by the graphics. Even noticed a small detail in the opening level, when Nate will cup his hands and blow on them to try to warm up. Just seeing that made me smile so much because it's such a natural gesture.

I'm slowly catching up on all of the posts in this thread. I did a full media blackout other than watching the first vid with the bus sequence, and avoided this thread until I'd finished the game. Holy fuck, in the 17 or 18 years that I've been playing video games, that would have to be one of the best and most epic games ever. Jesus fuck. I'm blown away, and now it's my sole mission to make sure that everyone on the planet plays or watches someone play Uncharted 2.

The first thing I wanted to do when I finished it was play it again, but I told my girlfriend I'd do my second playthrough while she was around so she can watch it. She loved Uncharted 1. Dagnabbit!

Edit: Oh yeah, did anybody else really, REALLY wish they added an anytime screenshot ability for the single player? There were so many moments where I thought "I want to remember this. This is so fucking awesome. I want to study this in detail, this is one of the greatest achievements in gaming ever."

Uncharted 1 (And now 2 by a long shot) seems to be one of those games that entertains people that are just watching it, and even get's them to want to try it. The latter I'm hearings tons off, which is great that the Very Easy mode is just that.

Also I FINALLY got to try some of the non-beta MP levels last night, and man, those are fun. The Lost City level may be my new favorite. Freaking beautiful level, with lots of verticality.

4 friends came over to the house last night to wish my GF a happy birthday. One of them expressed an interest in seeing Uncharted 2 because he had "heard the game is beautiful". I turned it on and handed him the controller and went back to the conversation between the other 3 and the GF. By the time he got to the oil lamp scene in the museum everyone in the room, including the birthday girl, had gone silent and were watching and listening intently. There were some chuckles at Drake's shadow puppets and his "own bucket" in the Turkish prison as well as some exclaimations of recognition of Claudia Black's voice. I turned the game off at that point because it was stealing her birthday spotlight.

hide against the wall on the right and kill the guy leaning against it. then climb down and around to the right and kill the guy by the fire when he comes over to the cliff. climb up to the right and pull down the guy on the platform (theres a treasure down there somewhere while youre climbing around too). i couldnt figure out how to stealth anyone else after that, but that gets you into a good position for the firefight anyway.

I did basically the same, but you can also get the guy leaning up against the wall as the 3rd kill. You have to wait for the other guy walking around to not be watching, then just run up behind him, stealth kill, and go back to the wall to climb up to the guy on the upper ledge.

From there you can stock up on weapons, stealth the last guy up there (which you will 99% of the time be seen while doing).

Then you are in a great defensible position for the firefight.

Those are the ones I already mentioned I can get. It's the guy facing the fire next the the wall for the 2 story building and the 2 patrolling guys I'm having trouble with. Particularly the later 2.

Maaaaaaan... So I bought this last night and played the hell out of it for a few hours. I absolutely love it. The "tutorial" section blew my mind, and scared the crap out of me! Anyway, I was looking forward to hunkering down over the weekend with the game.

So what does it mean when some weapons have a merc face icon? Is it just telling you the item was dropped by an enemy?

Also, can the OP be updated to indicate those with and without headsets? I need to play the co-op with sociable people.

Is that when you stealth kill them?

For guns it seems to give you more ammo.
