Music For Homework

I looked at the other thread and realized that the music taste that OP had was different from what I like, and is different from what I am looking for and not wanting to hijack his thread I made my own.

My room mate is a rather loud fellow and he makes it hard to do work at times, I found that putting on music really helps. However the music has to be lyricless or I can't concentrate. But it also can't be mellow because than I just want to go to sleep. This song I really like for doing work.

I really like Ska, or indie type music but I am struggling to find things without lyrics for when I am trying to work. I can't stand classical music so that is out. Sorry if this is too similar to the other thread just figured our needs were different enough to warrant different threads.

Classical music is really great for that. A specific composer I would recommend would be George Frideric Handel. Also, some Pink Floyd stuff would be great. They have some songs with little-to-no words in it, like Shine On You Crazy Diamond.

What about Jazz? Have you ever listened much to big band, or jazz ensembles? A bulk of that is lyricless, and you might like it if you like Ska. Maybe try something like Stan Kenton.

There isn't enough lime...in...a citrus grove?

I am not the biggest fan of Jazz, I will check out Ratatat when I get home tonight.
