Has anybody had trouble picking it up at TRU with the giftcard and figure? I went in the afternoon to pick it up and they said they were out of the figure. Though when I asked for it they opened a box to give me the game so I assume they either A. didn't even look, or B. didn't get anyway. I mean sure they could have just been opening a new box, but I was visiting a friend in Bakersfield when I went to TRU, which is in the ass end of nowhere so I couldn't imagine them running out on the afternoon of the first day in the middle of nowhere.
Also I think it's funny and stupid that it's an expiring gift card. I mean it's illegal for gift cards to expire, so they call it something different like a bonus discount card so they can dodge the law even though their website and the signs they have posted at their registers say "Buy Halo: ODST and get a $20 dollar gift card!"
I only saw a couple boxes of figures at the TRU I was at, they wheeled out a cart with what I think was their entire stock of boxes of games, figures, and preorder code cards. I would take a wild guess they maybe had 30 or so figures. I know 5 were gone by the time I walked out of their door 10 minutes after they opened.
Re: the gift card, try buying something with it and returning it... I think they will refund you onto a regular gift card. YMMV.

I had an awesome moment with Leitner, Puppy and Zerostar on Security Zone yesterday, and it was only the second-to-last Firefight game we played. I guess the recent films are shared, or something. It's a shame, I didn't save it. I didn't save my Killtacular with one grenade, either.
I'd ventured out right to the bottom of the level for some reason, and a Phantom dropped a couple of Brutes, a horde of Jackals and a Wraith that almost landed on top of me. I jumped on the Wraith and planted a grenade immmediately, and then cut my way out. Which, after all, is why you deploy Avery Johnson to a firefight.
EDIT: Christ, is that Fyre, Rat, Tomcat and Spider doing a Deja Vu run? What time is it over there, midnight? That's a full 24 hours being awake for ODST, guys.

They might only be there in 4 player legendary with Iron on (haven't checked otherwise).. but you know the offramps? The first one has 2 mongeese in it, and four rocket launchers sitting behind them. Each of the launchers has 1000 rounds (starting with 2 loaded and 998 spare)

Kinda makes the last section a bit easier... minus the suicides. Fun run overall, I thought it would be pretty boring and/or too hard.... ok ...it was pretty hard
Also just FYI I'm doing an attempt at Endure [strike]tommorow[/strike] later tonight. Tomcat said he wants to join so that's two open slots.
The people that did it already said it took two hours so plan accordingly

Ok, so I've done.... let's see... about 4 Missions and about 10 audio logs (loved that by the way. Soon as I explained what ILB was and why I was so giddy when I found the logs everyone else thought it was cool).
My brother and I did a nice 77 minute Firefight run to warm ourselves up last night. 150,000+ and just the two of us. However, I will admit, we were pansies and did so on easy, mainly because we haven't picked up Halo in about.... 18 months.
Also just FYI I'm doing an attempt at Endure [strike]tommorow[/strike] later tonight. Tomcat said he wants to join so that's two open slots.
The people that did it already said it took two hours so plan accordingly
Depending on what happens with me being at a friend's, I'm up for that. If I'm still at his we'll probably set up a Deja Vu run (you can do it split-screen as long as both have separate accounts, right?) but if I'm back I'll definitely jump in on that. I don't recommend Windward even though it's the map we got our best score on last night, simply because the enemies love to rush through the spawn zone and you (I) get stickied almost immediately after spawn all the damn time.
Seriously, Catch and Black Eye is an evil combination.

If you reached a checkpoint it should say Resume Solo Game.
