So I looked in the last 3 pages and I didn't see anything really about it. So they are giving a sell each week, over 50 games total, about 5 dollars per game. And from this week's batch most aren't really that bad of selections. I was thinking of spending like 15 dollars this week just for it cause 3 good games for nothing is a good deal in my opinion.
Games like:
Never Winter nights 2
Titan's Quest
Bioshock
Civ 4
X-com the complete bundle
and alot more.
I'm going to list the currently available ones. These are all $5 each:
Neverwinter Nights 2
Assassin's Creed
Elven Legacy
Eve Online
NeverWinter Nights 2 storm of Zehir
age of Conan: Hyborian adventures
Titan Quest Bundle
Planetside Aftershock
Drakensang: the Dark eye
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
BioShock
Chronicles of Riddick Dark Athena
Civiilzation 4
Ghost Recon Adv. Warfighter 2
Splinter Cell Chaos Theory
Sid Meier's Pirates
Sid Meier's Railroad
X COm complete bundle
Serious Sam Gold
Far Cry
MLB 2k9
Sonic Mega Collection Plus
Call of Juarez
Empire Earth Gold
The Settlers - Heritage of Kings
Silent Hunter 3
Prince of Persia Two Thrones
Manhunt
Max Payne 2
Prison Tycoon 4 Supermax
Seriously though, for 5 dollars a pop you can easily just get like 3-4 games and have something to do for a long while. Grind out the Borderlands/MW2 wait.
I'm pretty sure this answer is going to be 'yes', but is the Titan Quest Bundle worth $5? I'm always up for a nice loot-driven action RPG.
YES! Good fix until Diablo 3 comes out. Certainly one of the best, if not the best, Diablo clones out there. Well worth full price when it came out, way more than $5 worth of entertainment now.

I just bought it. Even though I had that virtual memory error with Steam's demo. Hopefully the full game will have some patch to let it work.
I need a good Diabloish fix

Somebody tell me if Drakensang is worth it or not.
No, not the $5. I'm sure it's worth $5.
It is worth the 40 HRs that I'd have to spend to finish it. I don't have a ton of time for gaming these days and I have the bad habit of forcing myself of trudge through a bad RPG even if I don't particularly enjoy it.
Hrm. I want storms of zehir but I don't have my NWN2 discs with me. I have the CD key stored on the website though, any legal way to download it? On campus, so couldn't torrent even if I wanted to.

I'm seriously considering rebuying NWN2 just so that I don't have to dig out the discs

I've so far picked up Bioshock and Titan Quest.
I was on the fence about Riddick, and dawdled until it was gone. Maybe I'll actually finish Bioshock now.
I've never used Direct2Drive before, but goddamn, these deals! If I get NWN2 and Storm of Zehir from Direct2Drive, are they compatible with a physical copy of Mask of the Betrayer?
Man... Planetside, awesome but poorly executed idea. If they just remade that with better coding and servers I would love it. As is the website for it doesn't really tell you anything and the territory maps are coming in blank. Guessing community is dead or support for it is. Remember it needs a monthly fee to play as well.
Also, how does Titan Quest compare to Diablo 2? Better, worse, same?

Well, you're sort of just trading one inconvenience for another. With D2D, you still have a downloaded exe or zip file to tuck away on a hard drive somewhere and keep track of. Or burn to a disc, but then you're back where you started.
Yeah, I know you can redownload the file, but that's even more hassle than taking the discs off the shelf. And there's always the slight but nagging possibility that you forget you even bought something off D2D.
Their cart is giving me an error message about having more than six items in my cart. I should remove some items or contact support. There are only four items in my cart. In fact, if I clean out the cart, add just a single item, and then try to check out, I get the same error. No checkout button (which would be at the bottom right), just the error message at the top.

Yeah, neither their site nor their service impressed me much. There's no forums for support and community, it's hard to get a hold of anyone official for support, there site simply doesn't work half the time, it constantly refuses payment from a bunch of people and then lock them out... wtf?
Am I literally going to end up downloading 1 huge file for each game, and that's it? I run it and install the game and play as I please? There's no steam-like interface or any such hassle? No front end or task bar program running in the background?
I just get a bigass file on my drive to install and that's it?
Sort of. The big file you download contains the installer and a d2d key verification thing. Once you run the file, it'll check your key (by having you put in your login credentials to d2d or whatever), then install it as if it were the same as a retail product.
Aside from that there's the direct2drive download manager which should speed up acquiring the files, but you could just use that then uninstall it and never need it again after you've downloaded the software you've purchased.
Can we get a list of keys that are cross compatible with steam?
Personally I dont join in on these deals unless the cdkey can be moved into steam. Just easier to only have the one account, and i can always go back for the d2d if I want.

I'm not sure on all of them, but I know several should be able to, as Steam carries almost all the games listed on the sale.
I did it for Saint's Row 2 when it was on sale last week.

If you're on your own, it's as good a playthrough as D2, really. If you're looking to play with strangers, or to play long term, or for a game with an economy (as wacky as D2's is) it's not the game for you.
But just to kill some dudes and pick up some loot for a bit, maybe doing coop with a friend? Sure.

seriously I would have bought at least 6 of those.

The riddick deal is still available.

I may still grab it...I wish I could activate it on Steam though.

Of course, for $5, who cares?
