Well I discovered this show a few weeks ago while the reruns were on. Man it is now in my DVR list with a save until I delete tag.
I also just bought the book for my birthday (love my mother in law, I got a lemon meringue pie with a no need to share note and $50) and man I am loving whoever they got to write the novel. It plays like the show and is just as funny and wordy.
Got you beat, I was emotionally affected by anything to do with that Czech father. I thought it was a fantastic performance. My life situation is not like his, but I just got divorced, and my little boy is going to go stay with his mom far away from me after Christmas. The feeling of loss just hit me.
I loved how the build up was there, you kept expecting one of them to crack and spill their feelings, for Castle to tell Beckett he wants to stay... and instead he stays for huge sums of cash.
I love that there really is a sex scene on page 105 of the book. After that was mentioned last episode, I had to check.
Also the dedication is exactly the same.
I'm thinking I have to buy this book.
Its not as big as they show in the show, though. Which is odd. The dedications, the page of the sex scene, all that is the same, but the book is about half as thick as the book they are waving about in this weeks episode.
