One of the things I like about this game is that all the achievements seem... achievable by me. Like, if I tried hard enough I could probably get all of them.
Polago and I were going to do it once, but Legacy joined us when we had finally finished that one dick of a part, and then he quit and it kicked us back out to the menu
Even on Normal that level is pure evil. To this day I still can't figure out how we beat that on Legendary. It's like a CoD game on Veteran instilled in a single level. Master Chief should not have to take cover. Ever.
I think it was the level before that, where you have to shut down the force fields or... or something.
Really? That wasn't that bad. I kinda remember getting shot up by the Scarabs a couple times but it wasn't so bad. The trick I've found is get both people in separate hornets. Choose your targets, fly over them, bail in mid air on top of your scarab and blow that shit up. If you have a third person around have them grab a tank to mop up the ground units.

Hmm, not that level either (unless it later becomes that one, my memory is shitty, and the Scarab part wasn't even that bad)
the one where you start out with a Spartan Laser and move to this kind of mountain fortress-esque area, there's a covenant tank out there and a bunch of dudes on the hill nearby
it always took me forever to do that

The Covenant. It's long, but probably my favourite, as it shows off what Halo is best at.

Yeah same level. That giant aerial battle with banshees and hornets was one of the best moments of the game.

You can kill the Scarabs quite easily just using the Hornets. Blow the rear armour off, and then hit the core with a few missiles.
One time, my brother and his mate both had hornets and I was in a Warthog. Our mate jumped out of his hornet and missed the landing, so he's running around underneath yelling for me to come get him.
So I ramp of the incline, gracefully arc over his manic manouvering, and land the Warthog on the Scarab's head instead. He was alternating between swearing at me for not grabbing him and also pulling off the sweetest insane move he's ever seen done in combat.
I still haven't gotten the achievements for beating Halo 3, due to me still not having finished the seventh or eighth level.
I think I was the one to first help you through the Legendary run-through. However, you didn't get the Achievement on that level because it glitched in the 2nd tower and kept spawning you outside in the air. Meanwhile, it didn't let me activate the switch.
Please let me know when you and Fishman do this, I'd like to join in.

Good lord, the last bit of Kizingo Boulevard is fucking insane when playing solo on Heroic
I can't imagine soloing it on Legendary
I lost my tank before killing the last wraith. There's a building you can go through, that leads to a dead guy with a rocket launcher and beam rifle near him. I used those.

it brought back a feeling from the first Halo, the "oh shit oh shit shit shit" moments where you run into a gold elite and it charges at you trying to impale you on its fuck off stick. now its every time you run into a gold brute or hunter
its probably a combination of being weaker and slightly different game mechanics, but it still made it fun
I'm enjoying trying to get the "My Clothes!" achievement
mostly because I'm normally such a coward and take potshots at grunts, and that basically requires you to be somewhat nearby one if you want to kill him
Also I got 'Stunning!' when I died once
it was weird, I was in a tank and I in no way stunned a vehicle and then killed the driver
but it was fine by me since I doubt I'd be able to get that anyway

Oh dude, totally. Maybe this weekend... Or something.
I actually just need those last 3 levels on Legendary, I think, and then I'll be done! Oh, and the last couple skulls and the terminals, but those aren't that important.

I mean they at least should've removed the ability to carry around turrets
if a guy can rip a turret off and carry it around easily he should be able to shoot two guns at the same time
but whatever
the game is still wicked fun
Gamertag is CorpLogo
(i sent you a friend request)
Also man I am having to play through the first few missions again because I forgot to save last time too
I will remember this time
god, I hope I do
I can't imagine soloing it on Legendary
possibly tomorrow night, though
coincidentally both Halo 3 and ODST both involve wraiths

(anyone feel like playing tomorrow shoot me an invite)
my gamertag is hi brybry
I never had problems with Wraiths in Halo 3. Now, the Flood. And that fucking level. That was another story.
Yeah, I like it when there are mostly singleplayer achievements. Multiplayer stuff is so often by luck or coercing everyone else to play along.
