Not literally rap. I mean talk.
So, I like these games. Not because of the story or anything, but because it combines two of my favorite genres: RPGs, and wailing on dudes. And with a new game on the horizon, what better time to hold forth on this fine series of games?
Speaking of which:
THE GAMES
I didn't actually play much of the first one, I actually rented it a few months before 2 came out just for a larf. I got far enough in it to know that I'd be down for some more, though. Plus it had Tarzan.
ah, Chain Of Memories. The freak game. I didn't finish this one either, for some reason. Probably had to do with the card thing, it was pretty weird. Though they did remake it for the PS2, and I'll probably get to it someday.
Alright, here's where the rubber meets the road. This is the game I really got into. Barring an hours-long intro that makes Taris look like a joyride, this is where the game really hit its stride. The combat was much improved from the original, the camera didn't suck, the gummi ship stuff was actually kinda fun, and it was just all around good times. Except hanging out with creepy photorealistic Johnny Depp, anyways. Also, Sephiroth is a
dick.
(there was a cell phone game right around this time too but fuck that)
358/2 Days is the newest game in the series, coming out next Tuesday. I'm pretty excited for it, even though you have to play as Roxas, and he's kind of a terrible character. But he dual-wields his keyblade thingy, so, awesome. Also, this one has multiplayer missions, which I'll probably never get to play since they're not over wi-fi.
this one's coming out for the PSP sometime, I don't know anything about it, but I'll probably buy it.
THE STORYUtter fucking nonsense.THE CHARACTERS
Well, if I did a proper post-up on all the characters in these games we'd be here all day. The main character of most of the games is Sora, a kid who woke up on an island one day with no memory of where he'd been before. (I think, I'm not fact checking this shit) He lives on the island with his two best friends, Kairi and Riku. Then Riku disappears and the game happens. And then Sora meets Goofy and Donald Duck, two characters nobody had heard of prior to this game. They have to rescue this mouse guy who is their king, who nobody has ever heard of either, and to do that they have to traverse a bunch of worlds based on movies nobody's ever seen.
But that's story and who cares. There's a guy voiced by Christopher Lee, so that guy is automatically the best guy in the whole game.
Also Bruce Boxleitner shows up.
but you guys know all this shit already so what say we dispense with the formalities, shall we
who's excited for this fruity shit besides me, huh

Like, Manhattan World or something.
Or at least make Goliath a summonable ally.
I had similar thoughts. The whole thing is just such a silly concept.
But as soon as I started playing it I realized how very wrong I was.
It's very artistic, and surprisingly enthralling.
Should've seen the look on his face.
Steam
it is square enix policy that the more people want something, the more they delay it
look for the FF VII remake in 3245.
maybe I'll give em another shot
like, nothing at all
the saddest thing is the best game is kh2, but the intro is literally 4 hours long. You are doing meaningless shit with not-the-main-character for FOUR FUCKING HOURS.
I beat the game once and haven't been able to give it another go because of that damned intro
He had a home that was shown, very briefly, at the beginning of the first game.
However, all of it that you really see is his room, and you overhear his Mom calling him. That's the last of his home we ever saw, as far as I can remember.
Only thing I didn't like was the gummi ship minigame, since it looked like an autistic dog had vomited onto my screen
JUST LET ME PLAY AS THE MAIN CHARACTER ALREADY DAMMIT
Steam
maybe it just felt like 4 or maybe you are YU-GI-OH THE KING OF GAMES I dunno I know it sucks that's what
Pretty much hated the one in the second
In other news I might have a job at gamestop for the holidays so maybe I'll get some sort of employee discount
that and tron are tied for best level
I wish Sora had turned into an 8 bit sprite, but I guess that'd be a bit jarring
you run around in a 3-d third person view and hit shit with a stick / key / hammer / whatever and then you level up
yeah ok that's a little vague
it was awesome but tragically short
Yeah but that dude was way more interesting than Sora sooooo

1+7+9=17?
really? eugh.
Yeah, pretty much.
And neither Sora nor Roxas were very interesting, so yeah.

Yeah, I was really fucking sick of doing side missions and other nonsense for completely pointless characters that were neither entertaining nor plot-relevant.
And then it ends immediately after you get into a fight that is actually really fun and not just smashing up a couple pissant mooks, like the programmers deliberately wanted it to be as boring as possible, and stop it the instant it became fun.
Also, Kusu is correct; Steamboat Willie doesn't get enough love.
Dan Castenalleta, Billy Zane, James Motherfucking Woods
I am sad that there wasn't an Emperor's New Groove level with llama Cuzco sidekick
The symphony versions of that and Passion are so very very good, it's ridiculous.

This is my opinion
He got shit done
