I recently had to reinstall firefox on a clean install of windows xp. The only addons I have on it are colorful tabs and adblock plus.
How do I stop firefox from switching me to a new tab that I've opened? It happens when I middle click on my bookmarks to open them or even right click and open in new tab. I've disabled the option in the options menu that makes me switch to tab immediately.
Its confusing because if its a list of links in google or a bunch of youtube videos it doesn't enable the same behavior and I stay in the current tab.
Ok, well a person who is so anal that this is an issue for them should be anal enough to figure out a solution, and if not then maybe you should try a different browser. By the way, all of this propaganda about Firefox being faster, more secure, etc. is crap--maybe moreso in the past but it is still crap. Internet explorer is clearly faster than Firefox.
