Dylan:"My family doesn't really talk to each other much, but I think it's great that you have a close family that's accepting of hot immigrants, gay dudes and nutty people."
Clare:"I guess this kid's not so bad."
Dylan:"Now I'm gonna sing a song about your daughter; I wanna do you in the moonliiiiight..."
Also, cool dad teeters so much within episodes. His east coast/west coast comment was just kind of annoying, but the whole "I've got Gloria!" thing was pretty hillarious.
I just hated the end and the resolution because I could see them coming from miles away.
I don't think a joke is necessarily bad just because you can see it coming. The reactions were still funny, as was the fact that everyone ended up getting the song stuck in their heads.
I've noticed Cam is a lot less gay than the initial episode, in the opening episode his voice is much more feminine than its been recently so perhaps they too thought he was a mite too stereotypical.
I just watched my first episode; it's not bad. I can't compare to previous episodes, obviously, but it got some good laughs, interesting characters, no laugh track (thank the gods,) and I think I'll be back next week. And every week until Lost comes back, then some decisions must be made.

You know what? Nanowrimo's cancelled on account of the world is stupid.

It's on the same network as Lost. It's not like they're going to be on the same timeslot or anything.
When I was a little kid, I always pretended I was the hero,' Skip said.
'Fuck yeah, me too. What little kid ever pretended to be part of the lynch-mob?'
I like the show and watch it each week, my main problem is with the "cool" dad. He is just TOO much most of the time. Some of the stuff is funny, but like last night his entire part was too annoying for me to watch almost.

Cool dad is like my favorite character. His obvious attraction to Gloria is awesome.
"Two times today."
"Oh, okay."
"No, she means she's seen you two times today."
I also really like Manny.

Let's play Mario Kart or something...
The whole family gets a little too sappy sometimes like at the end of this one.
I agree. I thought they played it well the first episode when it turns out he's mocking the letter, but then they decided to drop the "Being funny" part of it and it just gets cheesy.

That was a gold line... just had me rolling.
There is a small pantheon of shows I look forward to every week. This is now one of them, no question.
Let's play Mario Kart or something...
Eh, its not tht good, enjoyable sure but Ed is the main reason I'm giving it a shot to become a must-see.
Just about as bad as the two or three episodes of glee that made me jump ship to this show.
Just about as good as the last two or three episodes that made me fall in love with this show.
I laughed and had a good time with it. It was enjoyable. Manny is awesome.

It has its moments as usual but yeah, the song was predictable.

Also Manny's inquisitive looks made me laugh way too much
"Baby, baby, I just wanna do you, do you..."
This show needs viewers.

It's already a huge success, everyone is watching it.
Just finished the latest episode, between "I've got Gloria." and Dylan's song went from to back to .

I assumed they skipped over either spring break or summer vacation b/c the baby looked alot older.
And good god I didnt notice before but the wife is smoking hot.
I loved how the dad agreed with the daughter about not pulling over.
That and Ed O'neil "accidently" stepping on the flute.
