The thing about the enhancement pass that's fantastic is that you can dip into all of your prestige lines. So for instance, a palemaster can take a few of the archmage spell-like abilities. And if you multiclass you get all of your classes PREs. My only gripe with the enhancement pass is that it made arcane archer terrible.

Gonna play some Neverwinter so that I can make an apt comparison between that and this
The biggest thing is the new enhancement system they've been working on. Apparently it'll still work on the 4 points per level idea (80 total) but the menus will be structured like actual trees now. Plus, enhancements themselves are getting changed (removed, folded over with others, buffed, etc, and all of them are getting reduced costs; either 1 AP or 2 AP at most). The big thing this presents though is that all the classes are finally going to have all their prestige lines available. They rolled the Paladin's Hunter of the Dead and Knight of the Chalice into the same line from what I saw.
They're also overhauling the stealth mechanics. New icons are going to be added to indicate if monsters hear something or are actively searching for something. You'll also have indications via highlighted footsteps to show how much you're being heard moving around - white is in the clear, progressively red is heard - when the red circle jumps from you, you've definitely been heard and approached. Along with all this they're changing the monster AI so that it reacts more dynamically and also doesn't cheat (that sort of bullshit auto-honing that happens in video games). The incentive for removing the cheating behavior is two-fold; first, it's dumb. Second, it actually drains server performance (and communication with the client even), because monsters have a chance of detecting you no matter what every 6 seconds right now. What this means is that when monsters hear you sneaking around, or you try to stealth-exit combat (which is going to be possible and is a big goal with these changes), they'll start making random attacks or searching the immediate area. They'll give up after a while and go back to wherever they started. Plus, ranged attackers won't just keep firing at you with auto-aim. At most they'll aim for your last known location.
It's all a pretty tall order. There's definitely more changes but yeah, the devs don't seem to have given up quite yet. But they kinda move slow.
The Enhancement system change to making the game more like WoW's old talent system happened, and it's kinda garbage but kinda awesome to some extent. Rogues can enhance their way to using Dex modifier for their damage and hit (without feats). Sorcerers pretty much drive hard for Spell Like Abilities because metamagic can be used at no cost.
Today a patch deployed to make leveling faster, and the Eldritch Knight line for Wizards and Sorcerers opened. It's kinda garbage.
It encourages you to melee, but doesn't encourage offensive spell-casting. Despite giving you spell power. So I guess you're like a lame battle cleric only you can't heal through normal means for your class. And a lot of what you end up with the cleric starts with.
Meanwhile, it was amazing for Tempest rangers. You can have arrow deflection on a 2 second cooldown, all through enhancements!
Not to mention that with Soul magic you can launch dispelling or shattermantle arrows every few seconds (dealing 3x damage and devestating anything relying on magic).
Moonbow and Arrow of slaying? 250 damage every 30 seconds? Multiplid by crits?
Not to mention that by level 20 your bow counts as a +7 bow. So feel free to load up on those other effects.
P.S: Infernoshot+Soul magic is also pretty nasty on bosses. Once you've built it up it deals 20d6 every 2 seconds.
If you don't want to dig deep into the AA tree just dipping in for 6 points (7 points if you want Morphic arrows, which is nice vs skellies and zombies). Those 6 points nets you conjurable returning +1 arrows (never bother with a quiver ever again) +100sp and Magical Training (which is nice if you're not a primary spellcaster).

EK is still crap from the "spend majority of points here" angle though. Bleh.
In exchange for some pretty meh monk abilities (though granted the Henshin capstone is pretty nice) you get a a boosted version of Mage armor and Shield (as very cheap SLAs no less) plus some other goodies (cheap hitpoint boost as well as a 75% boost to wands&scrolls for example). Now splashing 2 or 3 levels is a tough choice.

Warner Bros. PR has issued the following statement to Massively OP:
“Turbine is transitioning into a free-to-play, mobile development studio, and as a result we are eliminating some positions. The Lord of the Rings Online and Dungeons and Dragons online games will continue to operate as they do now. Re-focusing and reducing the studio size was a difficult decision for the company, and we are grateful to all of the Turbine staff for their considerable contributions.”
