Hardened Edition has been preordered from Blockbuster, £10 less than everywhere else, by handing in 9 games that I will never play again and therefore getting it for free. Blockbuster is just a damn great store sometimes.
I don't know about you guys, but I'm about 75% sure that I'll be running a UAV reward on every single class I have.
I thought about that and I'm sure I will too. How many jackasses do you think are going to be running Attach Chopper + Pave Low + AC130 killstreak loadouts and never getting to use any of them in a round because they aren't good enough?

Just remember that half the people you meet are below average intelligence.

I'm fine with UAV/JDAM/Airstrike myself.
Is the killstreak customization changeable by loadout? Or is a set thing that all your classes share. I tend to get very high kill streaks with my RPD, but typically never get anything higher than UAV as a sniper.

Yeah, UAV is just too useful to go without. That and I'm guessing every asshole on live is gonna be sporting bling, meaning Cold Blooded (UAV Jam 2.0) is gonna be even less popular than it is in MW.
It's too bad the killstreaks are universal tho. I hope you can at least change them while in a match.
I think I'll go with a UAV, Airdrop/Pave Low and Attack Helicopter setup. I want to stay alive and not spend time controlling the AC-130 or JDAM when I could be shooting people in the face, especially with how vulnerable those two will leave you.

I think cold blooded only protects you from helicopters and the thermal scopes. UAVs can be shot down now too, so if you're on a decent team, UAV jammer shouldn't be a issue I think.
Turret sections are as bad as stealth missions and escorts.
Just stop doing the damn things already, they always suck.
All Ghillied Up was a stealth mission and One Shot, One Kill was an escort mission. You didn't like those? Death from Above and Shock and Awe were turret sections. How much of the single player did you actually enjoy?
Looking back, not much at all.
Single-player in Call of Duty is usually cinematic but rarely fun from a gameplay perspective. They do things with single-player that would be regressive in Quake 2.
pretty sure i loved cod4 sp
first game i played where the turrists would only take a few bullets to kill, which was nice
one hell of a rollercoaster ride, pity about the corridor shoot-out at the end

COLDBLOODED: Undetectable by UAV, air support, sentries, and thermal.
I guess they're doing that to stop people from just pirating the PC version day one, trying to get a few more units sold for the consoles. It still sucks pretty hard though.

I really don't get the whole heat-seeking AT-4 thing. You even had a Stinger in 4, why would they decide to go all stupid and turn an unguided one-shot anti-tank weapon into a homing surface-to-air missile launcher?
Doesn't make sense.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA WHERES YOUR PRECIOUS KBAM NOW, FUCKSTICKS?!
They had to delay it by one day for every dollar cheaper it is.
No no I can do better...
They had to delay it by one day for every ten thousand pixels it is higher in resolution.
I'd be concerned except all the footage we've seen so far has been 360. And it looks fucking gorgeous. Hell, I might move my 360 into my den so I can play it on my 23" HD monitor.

I'm pretty sure that the weapon in COD4 you're talking about was the Javelin, an anti-tank weapon with an advance targeting package (AT-4 is point and shoot, no homing), and the anti-aircraft weapon in MW2 is a Stinger. IIRC, there were no stingers in 4, just the RPG and AT-4.
And somewhat a weak post for my first post, but I've been lurking for a long while, and will most likely continue to lurk, but wanted to help out on the weapon confusion.
Oh yeah, MW2 is gonna rock - paid off my pre-order the other day. Still thinking about upgrading to that ridiculous package with NVGs, just for the hell of it.

The Javelin as it's depicted in CoD4 isn't accurate either where after launch it shoots off 90 degree into the air like a cruise missile (this was among one of the gripes made by IW's military adviser, Hank Keirsey in this interview at 3:05). I can fully understand the liberties taken with regards to gameplay on the depiction of the Javelin but having the AT-4 doing something completely inaccurate is just lazy considering they've already had a model in place in CoD4.

I forgot about UAVs being destroyable, and I was mistaken in thinking Bling was a Perk Slot 2 item.
Need a reason for those heat-seeking AT-4's, right?

What.
This isn't going to be a problem for me, but my heart goes out to my PC brothers.
It's not cheaper.

As a fellow Australian you should know that this is pretty much par for the course.

Five seconds on Amazon shows that it is exactly £10 cheaper.
Five seconds on amazon.COM shows both at exactly $60.
I'll be damned, didn't know the Wii was getting a MW port.
Holy shit SpecOps sounds much better than I had originally understood it to be.
Sorry, I was talking about real American monies.
Oh well. Sucks to be you guys.
Well actually...
You can pre-preorder the PC version at Wal-Mart for $49.82 + a $10 gift card ($10 cheaper then the console pre-orders)
So $40 for MW2 and spend that extra dough on chips and soda.
The wait sure sucks though.
Space?
So it can truly follow Battlefield?
Fixed, also more plausible.
Shit, fanboys would by it on the concept alone.
I know I probably would.
Reading this post makes me sad that we may never see Timesplitters 4
And that Neogaf OP was pretty sweet, November 10 can't come fast enough.
