So, I want to legally change my first name. For the longest time before I was born I was supposed to be 1 name, and then like 5 minutes before birth my mom put something else on the birth certificate. She had no idea why she did, and regretted it afterwards, wishin she hadn't changed it 
Anyway, I just had my 21st birthday, so we were all talking and had been talking about changing the name back for a couple of years, and decided this year for my 21st, why not change it.
What all do I have to do to get a legal name change here in Alabama? I've tried googling but I see all kinds of different respones. Some saying just call the DMV, some saying you have to fill out an ungodly amount of forms, some wanting $10, $30, $80.
I'm confused by the whole matter and was hoping someone could clear it up for me

Just felt like sharing, I'd just call up the DMV or a local courthouse and ask from there.
Where do you live?

Also, change your middle name to "Fucking" while you're at it.
